The Indian Coast Guard has announced vacancies for all eligible and enthusiastic Indian male candidates for the post of Yantrik in 2024. Indian Coast Guard Yantrik Syllabus Stage-II

The Stage-II consists of a Physical Fitness Test. Candidates who pass the written examination will progress to this stage. Sportswear is mandatory for this test, including items like Sport Shoes, T-Shirt, and Trousers. To qualify for this round, candidates must complete the following exercises:

  • 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes.
  • 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak).
  • 10 Push-ups.

NOTE:

  • Candidates participate in the PFT at their own risk. The founding authority will not be held responsible.
  • Physically challenged candidates are ineligible to apply for this post.
  • Candidates who pass the physical fitness test will undergo a medical examination. Those who successfully complete the medical procedure will be selected for the post.

Medical Standards

The medical examination will be administered by authorized military doctors according to the medical standards specified in the current regulations applicable to Enrolled Personnel upon entry.

Physical Eligibility Criteria for Recruitment

  • Height: Minimum height required is 157 cms.
  • Chest: Chest should be well-proportioned with a minimum expansion of 5 cms.
  • Weight: Weight should be proportionate to height and age, with a 10% acceptable margin.
  • Hearing: Normal hearing is mandatory for eligibility.
  • Fitness Level: Individuals should not have cardiovascular diseases, surgical deformities like knock knee or flat feet, ear infections, a history of fits or psychiatric ailments, varicose veins, undergone corrective surgery for eyesight, among other disqualifying conditions.
  • Visual Standards: Eyesight should be 6/24 without glasses and 6/9 & 6/12 with glasses for the Better Eye and Worse Eye respectively.
  • Tattoos: No permanent tattoos are allowed on the body.
