  • After students fill out the registration forms, schools must submit them to SOF by the specified deadline, ensuring all forms are complete and in order.

Step 3: Roll Numbers

  • The coordinating teacher at the school needs to fill out the School Registration Form (SRF) and Students' Registration Sheet (SRS) as per SOF's guidelines.
  • These forms should be sent to SOF before the indicated deadline.
  • Upon receiving the SRS, SOF will register the school and its students, assigning roll numbers to all participants.

Step 4: Registration Fee Details

  • Schools in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal pay Rs 125* per student for the IEO exam.
  • An additional charge of Rs 25 per student may be added by schools for honourarium and other expenses.
  • For schools outside these countries, the fee is US$9 per student, plus an extra US$1 for related costs.

Note: Fees include GST.

Step 5: Fee Exemption

  • Students with severe physical disabilities or those whose parents were martyred in defense operations are exempt from fees.

Step 6: No Individual Registrations

  • Individual student registrations are not permitted. Students must register through their respective schools to participate in the IEO.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Pattern

  • The IEO exam is divided into three stages for students.
  • Section I tests Word and Structure.
  • Section II focuses on Reading.
  • Section III emphasizes Spoken and Written Expression.
  • Section IV includes Higher Order Thinking Questions.
  • The question paper contains 35 objective-type questions for Classes 1 to 4 and 50 questions for Classes 5 to 10.
  • Duration: Students have 60 minutes to complete the exam.
