Key Points of the Story
Detailed Summary
Mario was a boy who loved to brag about how many friends he had at school. He always talked about how popular and friendly he was. One day, his grandfather heard him boasting and made a bet. He said, “I bet you a fruit chaat that you don’t have as many real friends as you think. Some of them might just be classmates, not real friends.” Mario wanted to prove his grandfather wrong, but he didn’t know how to figure out who his true friends were. So, he asked his grandfather for help. Grandpa gave him an invisible chair and said, “If you can sit on this chair at school, you will know who your real friends are.”
Mario took the invisible chair to school, feeling excited. At break time, he asked everyone to form a circle around him and said he was going to show them something amazing. Mario tried to sit on the invisible chair, but since he couldn’t see it, he missed and fell to the ground. His classmates laughed at him. Mario tried again, saying it was just a small mistake, but he fell again. However, Mario didn’t give up. After a few more tries, he finally managed to sit on the chair and didn’t fall. To his surprise, he was floating in mid-air! Then Mario saw the magic his grandfather had told him about. He noticed that three of his true friends Guneet, Asma, and Deepa were holding him up so he wouldn’t fall.
These friends were the ones who cared for him, while the others just laughed and didn’t help. Mario understood that real friends are the ones who help and support you when you need it most. Later, Mario and his true friends went to visit his grandfather. Mario told him he had won the bet, and they spent the evening enjoying stories and eating fruit chaat together. From then on, they used the invisible chair to see who their real friends were. Whoever helped them became friends for life. Mario learned that true friends care about you, not just when things are fun, but also when things are tough.
