Transportation plays a vital role in Goa, comprising land, water, and air routes. The state government of Goa facilitates the transportation system in the region, which includes:

Roadways

• Private and Government Transport: Most public transport in Goa is provided by private buses connecting major towns to rural areas. The Kadamba Transport Corporation operates government-run buses on key routes, such as the Panaji-Margao route, and serves some remote parts of the state.
• Transport Infrastructure: The Kadamba Transport Corporation manages 15 bus stands, 4 bus depots, and a central workshop in Porvorim, along with a Head Office in Porvorim.
• Intra-City Buses: In larger towns like Panaji and Margao, intra-city buses are available. However, public transport in Goa is less developed compared to other regions, and residents often rely on personal transportation, such as motorcycles and small cars.
• Goa is traversed by several National Highways:
  • NH-66 (formerly NH-17): This highway runs along India's west coast, connecting Goa to Mumbai in the north and Mangalore in the south.
