  • Admission requirement for public universities and private colleges.

Targeted Candidates

  • The test is mandatory for all Grade 12 students.
  • UAE nationals in all public and private schools (Ministry of Education curriculum and international private curriculum).
  • Emiratis applying for scholarships abroad.
  • All UAE nationals and non-nationals wishing to complete their studies at public or private universities in the UAE.
  • Non-Emirati students from private schools affiliated with the Ministry of Education curriculum.
  • Emiratis and non-Emiratis studying in government continuing education centers.
  • National service students and applicants to military colleges.

EmSAT Policies

Late Policy

  • Late students will not be allowed to enter the test centers after 30 minutes from the start of the test.
  • Absence will be recorded for the missed test.

Absence Policy

  • If a student cannot attend any of the EmSAT tests, they will not be allowed to register again except in exceptional cases (e.g., illness or family emergency).
  • The student must submit a retest request to the National and International Examinations Department.
  • The request must include a detailed explanation of the absence and a medical report issued by a government hospital, certified by the Ministry of Health.
  • The student will be reviewed, and if the excuse is approved, they will be informed of the new test date.

Cheating Policy

  • If a student cheats or attempts to cheat:
  • Their score will not be counted.
  • They will be prohibited from taking the Emirates Standard Test for one year.

Certificate Falsification Policy

  • If a student attempts to falsify scores in the EmSAT certificate:
  • Their score will not be counted.
  • The case will be referred to the Legal Affairs Department for necessary action.

Dress Code Rules in Public Places

  • Students must follow proper clothing and appearance rules when visiting public institutions, especially test centers.
  • General dress code rules:
    • Cover everything from shoulders to knees.
    • Avoid showing cleavage.
    • Do not wear tight or see-through clothing.
    • Avoid clothing with offensive images or slogans related to the country or religion.

Useful Notes for Students

Exam Scheduling

  • Students may take different subjects on separate days.
  • There is no failing score; the test is a measure of skills.
  • Students are required to take five basic subjects, including chemistry (for advanced track students only).

Test Centers

  • Exams are conducted at specific and approved test centers across the UAE.

Registration

  • Students are registered through an ID reader in all government schools.
  • Registration is managed by the school's accredited coordinators.

Changing or Canceling Test Dates

  • Students who register early can change or cancel the test date and location if necessary.
  • Changes or cancellations must be made at least 12 days before the scheduled test date.
  • After this period, no changes or cancellations are allowed, and the student must attend the test.

Absence Policy

  • If a student does not attend the test, an absence will be recorded.
  • The absenteeism policy is detailed on the official EmSAT website.

Preventive and Precautionary Measures

  • It is obligatory to provide the Test Center a negative COVID-19 test result for a time frame no later than one week on A1 Hoson mobile application- And If there was any positive test then the applicant should provide two consecutive negative test results before registering for the test.
  • Strict Precautions will be taken for the Safety of Applicants.
  • Applicants must wear a mask and gloves before entering test Center .
  • Applicants' temperature will be measured through thermal cameras and accordingly if any student showing any corona symptoms, they will be prohibited to enter examination Hall.
  • It is obligatory to provide a valid Emirates ID card.
  • It is strictly forbidden to take any of family members to the Test Center together, and are not allowed to be in the waiting areas.
  • Adherence to the Social distance of two meters between the students and everyone else.
  • The applicants must leave the Test Center upon completion of the Examination and not allowed to stay around in the Center.
  • The applicants must bring their own calculator for the Physics and Math Exams.
  • The applicants must try to neglect getting unnecessary personnel belongings.
