AFMC MBBS Admission 2026 - Highlights |
|
The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, does not admit students solely based on their NEET UG 2026 scores, as it employs a distinct selection process. Although NEET scores are used to determine the cutoff, candidates who are shortlisted must pass additional screening tests. These include the Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic & Reasoning (ToELR), a Psychological Assessment Test (PAT), a Personal Interview, and a Medical Examination.
AFMC provides a total of 150 MBBS seats: 115 are allocated for male students, 30 for female students, and 5 for nominees from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The final merit list is compiled based on NEET scores, performance in the ToELR, PAT, the personal interview, and the results of the medical fitness examination. The selection process is scheduled to occur in June/July 2026 at AFMC, Pune.

Previous Years' AFMC MBBS Cutoff Trends (2020 - 2024)
Below is the AFMC Pune MBBS cutoff from 2020 to 2024, based on NEET UG scores. The cutoff varies based on gender and competition levels each year.
The authority administers the ToELR test, which is scored out of 80 marks. This score is then combined with the NEET total score of 720, resulting in a cumulative score of 800. This total is subsequently divided by 4, yielding a score out of 200 marks. Additionally, 50 marks are awarded based on the personal interview stage. To successfully pass the AFMC selection process, candidates must achieve a total score of 250. Following the evaluation of candidates, the authority will publish a merit list based on these scores.
