Introduction

Summer (hot and sunny)

• Summer is very hot and the sun shines brightly.
• Days are long, and nights are short in summer.
• We sweat a lot and feel thirsty all the time.
• We like to drink cold water, cold drinks, and juices to feel better.
• We wear cotton clothes because they keep us cool.
• Some people go to hill stations to feel less hot.
• Hot winds called loo blow in summer.

Monsoon (rainy and cloudy)

• Monsoon brings rain and the weather becomes cloudy.
• Cool winds blow during monsoon.
• We hear thunder and see lightning in the sky.
• We use an umbrella to stay dry.
• We wear a raincoat and gumboots when we go out.
• We protect ourselves from rain with umbrellas and raincoats.

• Mountains and hilly areas have snowfall in winter.
• We use blankets and quilts to keep ourselves warm.

• We use heaters or light a fire to feel warm.
• We like to have hot drinks and hot food in winter.

Autumn (dry and windy)

• In autumn, the weather is not too hot and not too cold.
• It is dry and windy in autumn.
• Dry leaves fall from trees during this season.

Spring (pleasant)

• The weather in spring is pleasant.
• It is not too hot and not too cold in spring.
• We see lots of flowers and butterflies in spring.
• Spring is called basant in Hindi.
