Tech Major Google has recently launched ChatGPT rival Bard in European Union, Brazil and several more nations.
In March 2023, Bard was launched in the US and the UK. Google has also now added new features to Bard, which apply worldwide. These include the ability for the chatbot to speak its answers back to you and for it to respond to prompts that also include images.

The President of India Droupadi Murmu presented the “Bhoomi Samman” 2023 to State Secretaries and District Collectors along with their teams who have excelled in achieving saturation of the core components of Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP).
The awards were presented in a function at New Delhi, organized by Union Ministry of Rural Development.

The Regional Conference on ‘Drugs Smuggling and National Security’ was held recently at New Delhi. The meeting was chaired by Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah.
During the event, in the presence of the Home Minister, over 1,44,000 kilogram drugs worth Rs.2,416 crore was destroyed in various parts of the country by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

The G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting was held on 17-18 July 2023 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The meeting was jointly chaired by Union Minister of Finance Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, and Governor, Reserve Bank of India, Shri Shaktikanta Das.
During the meeting, India and Indonesia have announced the initiation of the “India-Indonesia Economic and Financial Dialogue” (EFD Dialogue) which aims to enhance collaboration between the two countries and promote a shared understanding of global matters.

The “Nomadic Elephant ” is a joint military exercise between India and Mongolia. The exercise for 2023 is scheduled to be conducted at Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from 17 to 31 July 2023. Indian Army is represented by a  contingent consisting of 43 personnel.
This exercise is alternatively conducted between Indian and Mongolia. The last edition was conducted in 2019 at Special Forces Training School, Bakloh.

This strategic partnership aims to pioneer and operate an innovative all-electric air taxi service across India by 2026.

Dictador, a spirit brand based in Colombia’s Cartagena, has appointed Mika, who is manifested as a robot.
Mika is a research project between Hanson Robotics and Dictador. It has been customised to represent company value. Hanson Robotics also created Sophia, the popular humanoid robot. With advanced AI and machine learning algorithms, Mika claims to swiftly and accurately make data-driven decisions.

The 4th edition of the Bilateral Exercise, BONGOSAGAR-23, and the 5th edition of the Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT) between the Indian and Bangladesh Navies took place in the Northern Bay of Bengal. During this exercise, ships and aircraft from both navies jointly patrolled along the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) and engaged in maritime exercises to boost interoperability.

APAAR, an acronym for Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry, is a specialized identification system designed for all students in India, beginning from an early age.
Under this program, every student will receive a lifelong APAAR ID, streamlining the process of tracking academic progress from pre-primary education to higher education for students, schools, and government authorities. This initiative is part of the ‘One Nation, One Student ID’ program, which is derived from the 2020 National Education Policy.

International Week of Science and Peace is celebrated annually from November 9 to 15. It was first observed in 1986 as part of the observance of the International Year of Peace. The week was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 1988.
World Science Day for Peace and Development 2023 is celebrated on November 10. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Building trust in science”.
