in this class we will learn about the
main tools on the command panel used for
designing mock-ups let's begin the class
the command panel is responsible for all
design tasks in max we can create object
by assessing these tools configure and
assign new properties manage how these
objects act manage display and movement
this is the create tab and in the basic
course we studied about basic primitives
in 3ds max
assess eg
three category lists and there are
parametric objects easily applied to the
architectural field such as the wall
option for easily drawing walls
there are also other categories for
creating objects other options are
cameras and lights we can see the
helpers are used for checking
measurement analysis such as the tape
and protractor tools
now let's learn about the main tools on
the modified tab this tab provides all
the parameters and settings for all
objects applied to the scene
see how when we select one element in
the scene the parameters are displayed
on the modified tab
besides the currently enabled parameters
we can assign other settings to an
object see the list of modifiers on the
top part of the modify tab these can
also be assessed on the modify menu
modifiers are responsible for modifying
the object geometry or just adding a new
attribute to the selected object
see how many modifiers are selectable
but we're going to add just a wave
modifier
notice how this modifier added new
properties to the object you can define
the settings as you like there are over
a hundred modifiers
in this course we're going to focus on
creating digital mock-ups
let's go on to the hierarchy tools we
can change the relationships among
objects here their structure and the
center of mass take a look at affect

this tool enables changing the position
rotation and pivot scale let's change
the pivot position and drag the pivot to
the side of the object

rotate tool to rotate the object you see

where the hide and freeze commands are
the hide command hides objects which are
not necessary when editing
this tool makes it possible to hide the

3d and digital mock-ups
another command is freeze and it freezes
object which prevent their editing
we can add furniture to the scene
without affecting the constructed walls
