all right now in this video we're going
to be using a program called netfabb
okay you can get netfabb going into
google and type in net fab and what I
need is netfabb basic ok so go to net
fab studio and go to basic and then you
can download net that basic by going
here you're gonna have to fill out a
little bit of boxes but after you fill
it out you can download it so please do
that and for our operation we're gonna
be using Mac within our lab I know I'm
using a Windows machine right now but
that's only because I have to jump
between camera and software so me I'm
gonna be using this within our lab so
choose Mac if you're watching this for
our class okay now once you get that
application it looks like this and after
a while you'll have to just wait it out
wait wait that's the only thing bad
about the basic let's open and what
we're gonna do is open
the 3d and that's gonna be located here
for me for yours is going to be like got
a thumb drive of some nature and I'm
looking for a specific there we go
whoops unit five and now I have base now
I have to do this one at a time so I
click base bring it in and what I'm
going to do it looks like it's a hundred
percent good but I still do this hit
repair hit automatic repair hit execute
apply yes I do that for every piece of
geometry even though if I know it's 100
percent good or not just do it so right
click on it now and say export part as
still and I'm just gonna copy it right
over the top of the original so now it's
base again yes I want to replace it now
right-click and remove and repeat so to
save yourself some problems here we got
right-click add part so you don't have
to even go up to the menu here's my
initials again click on it make sure
it's green hit the repair hit automatic
repair execute apply repair yes
right click export part still initials
now right here it says well there is
some degenerate triangles do you want to
get rid of them
yes and that's why exactly why I do this
so if you miss something net fab will
catch it all right perfect
we now have everything we need to print
so let's go look at the setup for
printing this
to be using a program called netfabb
