in this tutorial we going to talk about
an important tool in the surfaces
toolbox the trim tool so let's activate
the trim tool and try to delete these
outside flanges here now here you have
the trim tool or the trimming surface or
the main body which is going to be used
the trimming tool here we have selected
that body you can see it shaded in blue
and the rest of the body you can see you
can select it in yellow so these bodies
so this body main body should in blue
will be used as the trimming tool and
here you can select the keep solution or
move selection I'm going to select the
move selection and here you are able to
select this surface and this surface
okay according to this restriction and
that body okay so you have no trimming
that outside flange now to make it more
clear let's try to make another surface
let's make only one train sketch normal
to let's make a mess plan so let's say
we are going to change the type of the
bottom edges of these boxes to be kind
of curved so we have this surface that's
extruded on mid plane
okay so have this surface and we have
these boxes or cans so now we have many
options to do you can trim the the
excessive bars here
trim the down parts and so on so let's
try this example and have and see what
you can do so the trim tools you can see
this surface so remove selection now we
are able to remove these parts you're
done can select okay so now you could
trim the bottom edges of these cans and
make it circular so now let's try to
trim this surface so you can you have
option to delete this surface let's try
to insert go to features delete body
selected surface okay so now you delete
that surface what will you delete it
that you deleted the covers of this so
you can now make plan a circle surface
or filled surface
