in this tutorial we will see how to
apply has to 3d object so we have
created this 3d block 3d box a 3d object
is there we want to apply edge to this
if you give the hatch command let's see
what happens go to the raw edge and if
we select add big point option then it
will not catch any pic internal point if
you click it it will say boundary not
valid so for that boundary to catch I
will just skip and cancel this you have
to access a extract edges so we will
extract all the edges of the 3d object
then we will want to apply in top so we
will just orbit it so that we can view
it from top properly and we will say
hatch then click on add pick point and
click inside the object so it has catch
the bottom boundary just slightly can
say preview pick first point and
increase the scale to view the hatch
properly suppose I give for you
then see the preview how it looks like
so hatch is okay then right click to
apply - so this edge has been applied to
bottom surface same way suppose I want
to apply Ashe to top surface then I have
to copy this H only so I will just say
copy select the hatch give the base
point give the second point so same edge
will be applied to the top also if
suppose I want to apply it on the right
side right plane I do not want bottom
edge so I will just say this that I want
it to be on the right plane so just go
to view select the UCS plane and ship to
right and again shift shift press roller
and drag the mouse and bring it in the
front the right side now again go back
to home say draw
heads click on hatch
then select the sketch which pattern you
want suppose though I want some gravel
pattern okay then add pick point click
inside the ship so it has cache the back
but it is away do not worry about that
just lightly can preview and if it is ok
if you want to reduce the scale just
reduce suppose 1/2 2.5 you view I just
want to increase to 4 suppose for and
okay so hatch is applied but now if I
want to try to move this edge to this
point I want this to be on this surface
but base point is not available if I try
to move it if I do move and select the
object enter but base point is not
available to create that basement just
double-click the hatch so the dialog box
will come back and is click on this
recreate boundary so it will
automatically create the boundary
boundary oh I want in polyline and just
really attach with new boundary yes give
Y and enter and just say ok so it will
create the boundary so that boundary you
can use as a base point so I will say
move select object enter give the
basement end of the bottom and put it on
the front so same way you can add the
front side also you have to go to view
then say front then just orbit it so
that it can be viewed from the front
again go back to home then draw edge
then add pick point click inside right
click preview it is all right then say
ok so H is applied so again these
hatches in between I want to move it
ahead so you can you you
will again have to create the boundary
so just double-click the hatch recreate
boundary polyline yes ok then move it to
the front move click both the object
take the base point and give the way
other point so in this way you can
create as for the object and if you just
want to color the objects so you do not
want the hatch but you want to color the
object so in that case you have to use
suppose we will move to conceptual
visual style so it is now visible like
this so I want to color a face so for
that based option is to go to extrude
faces and select color faces and select
the files you want to color so I want to
color this space color face then color
so color then click inside the face
enter then choose the desired color in
which color you want to color I want to
color in this color okay and press
escape so it will be giving that color
to that surface so in this way you can
either color the surface or you can
hatch the object so in this way we have
