hmm today we'll look at setting up
plugins that use sidechain inputs in FL
Studio and for something cool and
different I'll show you how to set up
the vocal line plug-in from synchro arts
will use it to align a pair of vocal
tracks when you have one vocal life is
easy but you you're not allowed you're
uninvited but when you're layering
vocals to get a really professional
result it's important to have them
aligned in particular the consonants
like the T on the end here stand out now
you can slice a warp the vocal manually
but vocal line does this quickly and
automatically let's check it out I'll
put vocal line on the second mixer track
the plug-in uses a guide track and a dub
track the guide input guides the
alignment and the dub input is
automatically warped into shape the
first step is to get the guide and the
dub audio into vocal line the dub Fogel
is streamed in from vocal lines own
mixer track while the guide is
sidechained
into the plugin let's set that up select
the guide mixer track and then
right-click the sidechain send control
on the dub track and select sidechain to
this track
now select vocal line and open the
rapper additional settings from the cog
icon then select the processing tab with
the inputs and outputs are mapped then
all you need to do is select auto map
inputs notice down here the sidechain
input was selected you can also
right-click this and select the
sidechain input by name then activate
the input with the switch to the right
here and the setup is complete now all
you need to do is record the guide and
dub tracks into vocal on click capture
audio invoke line and then play in FL
Studio
oh you're not allowed here uninvited and
none fortune
Oh excellent
now here's the lazy part that I like to
align the dump track to the guide track
just click Edit
and that's it aligned remember there was
a real obvious problem with the tea here
now it's perfect

once you're happy with the alignment you
need to export the corrected audio just
mute the guide and dub tracks in the
playlist and export audio as normal
now I'll drag in the new dub track and
leave you with the result until next
