Navigating Seller Central (Free Amazon Course Video 6) Video Lecture | Start an Amazon FBA Store: Learn and Build - Home Business

what's going on guys welcome back to the
channel and welcome back to this course
in this video I'll be covering section
two of the setting up your account
module where we'll be going over
accelerant released how to navigate your
way around also tell you what's
important in seller central that's a new
seller because there are a lot of tabs
and a lot of options you don't really
need to deal with at the beginning so
I'll just get into that and hopefully I
don't really help you guys out and
finding your way around when getting
started so just hopping in the computer
here before I go any further with this I
just want to let you guys know I'm not
live on the Internet these are
screenshots just because it made it
easier for me to cover my personal
information but it'll still be easy to
follow along as I have screenshots of
everything as I go so don't pretty much
be like I'm online but if you're
wondering why I don't click that would
be why so if you want to seller central
or amazon.com this is where you would
end up on the sign-in page this is also
where I showed you guys how you can
register it here on the bottom but this
is generally where you're gonna end up
when you have to log into your seller
central account on a daily basis you're
also gonna want to download the seller
central or selling Amazon app where you
can see your daily sales that's where
you probably see a screenshots of people
showing their sales if you're in any
Facebook groups or anything like that
those would be the screenshots from the
app and the app is something that I
check on a daily basis and that you're
really definitely going to want to
download so I can link that in the
description as well so you've log in
here sign in at the top and it would
bring you to this page this page is also
the page you would end up on if you were
following along in my last video after
you bypass what type of products you're
interested in selling it would take you
to this page here this is the dashboard
every time you log in you'll see this
page and there's a lot going on here you
can see I blurred out all of my personal
information so all my numbers and my
product or my page name all that stuff
so there would actually be more text on
this page and that makes a lot of people
very overwhelmed there's a lot going on
so I'm just gonna show you guys what's
important and what isn't so at the top
here you have your new navigation bar
and this is where you're gonna be coming
to answer most of these stuff on your or
to input or to answer things on your
seller central account on the bottom
here you can see by our messages so if
you have any message
about concerns about your products
questions anything like that some of my
correct message you and this will come
up here if you have a seller or sensual
app that will also pop up there so you
don't see it right on your phone but
usually you want to get those answers as
quick as possible just for customer
service sake so on the top bar here the
first thing that I really want to talk
about is the drop down inventory bar
here yeah drop down inventory option
here because this is something that's
there you're gonna be using quite a bit
and you'll become quite familiar with so
if you want to manage inventory this
will allow you to see what products you
have active which are not active which
products are running out of stock how
much stock you have for each product and
also have the option down here to add a
product so I don't in the product this
would be creating your listing if you're
doing a private label product which you
most likely are but that will be going
or I'll be going over that in my future
video on how to create an effective
listing so quite simple stuff there the
next more next most important tab is the
orders tab so the pricing tab I don't
use it too frequently because you can
change your pricing through the
inventory tab so pricing I just don't
really bother with it as a new seller
it's just another thing to complicate
what you're doing so I just stay away
from it the orders tab this is useful if
you want to contact someone for a
particular order so maybe you aren't
using automatic automated responses and
you want to get someone's feedback you
could message with them through here
asking for an honest thought on your
product or ask if they have any
questions about your product this would
also allow you to see their address for
the people that you're shipping it to so
if you are doing fulfilled by merchants
and an aweful filled by Amazon and you
were manually shipping products from
your house to the customer you could see
their addresses here I hope use this too
often but every now and then it's good
to be able to see your orders and you
can see the order IDs the person's name
and all that
the next tab that I would be talk about
want to be talking about is the
advertising tab so you will definitely
be using this this is something that is
especially for your launch super
important and building your product
reputation this is how you get your
brand out there especially when your
product is first launched and you're at
the bottom and your
the first five pages this is how you can
make your product appear at the top
under a sponsored ad so campaign manager
is where you would go to create your
campaign and then you'd be able to
choose the keywords you want to
advertise with and manage your
advertising budget but this is something
I'll go over in my advertising video
later on it has brand content you don't
have to worry about this is if you had a
trademark brand you can go in here and
go into some more detail about the
actual trademarks if you want to the
early reviewer program this is if you
have low review or almost no reviews you
can actually pay to help Amazon get you
some reviews but it's I think it cost
like sixty dollars I really recommended
there are other ways to to get reviews
also you can do Lightning Deals for this
if you ever see an offer on Amazon that
says expiring at this time or this offer
is 33% finished this would be an example
of a lightning deal so Amazon actually
sets a timeframe well you could choose a
general time frame but Amazon which is
exactly when the deal is happening and
for a certain amount of time you choose
the discount you want your product to be
it on and it will help you get sales so
this is really useful especially for
like days like Black Friday things like
that if you were looking to have a flash
sale or even boost your product right at
the beginning once you started ranking
it so coupons - instead of coupons and
promotions this is more things through
Amazon that you don't really have to
worry too much about I'll show you guys
how to launch your product the best ways
in future videos as well so next you
would look at reports storefront don't
worry about that reports um it shows you
basically reports on all your different
business aspects so you can see your
payment so this will show you what your
last payment was where your expenses
came from and break it down so you can
actually see what you earned for that
payment period the next most important
thing I would say is advertise and
reports so this will actually show you
how effective your advertising is and
your cost per click so you can see how
much you're spending pour per keyword
how much you're spending for each person
to click through and actually buy your
product or at least look at your listing
so if you went into reports and you went
to the advertising report it'll bring
you to this screen here so right now
we're on the performance over time so
you can see my daily here it has the
date and I'll show you how many clicks
you go out your average cost-per-click
and then your total spend for that date
so you can see how much you're actually
spending depending on the day and making
sure that your keywords are actually
effective so in order to make sure that
your keywords are effective you would go
to your search term report right here
and it'll bring you to this page here so
you can just download a request report
right here and then it'll pop up on the
bottom you download this report and it
will show you a full Excel spreadsheet
you can open it up on your computer of
all the keywords that people search in
order to find your product so if I was
selling fitted spinner if someone
searched maybe anxiety toy or something
like that and then they saw your product
and clicked it it would show you that
someone clicks your product from that
search term so show you a full list
they'll come up possibly with hundreds
of keywords or as many people works that
people would search to find your product
and as simple as that and that'll help
you build an effective advertising
campaign later on so on the right hand
side here at the top another important
thing is your settings so in your
settings you can go to account info and
see your address your billing and all
that just but you ever want to update
your information so I'll show you really
what that looks like so you can see of
your bank account you can put your
business address your return address if
you were shipping products and you
wanted to return all that nothing too
crazy and then lastly I want to show you
guys that settings again if you went to
fulfillment by Amazon it'll bring you to
this page here this is really useful for
when you're shipping your products this
is something that I found out and I
think it's really useful to anyone
starting out with Amazon so when you're
sending your first shipment to Amazon if
you're sending over 150 units it doesn't
need to be a stock products it needs to
be in more than one shipment so say you
were shipping two big boxes when you're
creating your shipping plan which I'll
show you later on it might offer you
guys or might say you need to send to
two different locations
because I was almost to spread out their
product throughout the country so they
might have you ship one box to somewhere
on the East Coast one box somewhere on
the west coast if you go to inventory
placement options here you can actually
make that so you always send all of your
products to one place so I can help you
save money for shipping cost from your
manufacturer as well just make it easier
and not have to create multiple shipping
labels and have to figure that out with
your supplier just saves you time and
it's a lot more convenient and
cost-effective in my opinion so you
would go to in order to do that you
would go to edit on your inventory
placement service right here so edit on
the right hand side and it will bring
you to this page on this page all you
have to do at the beginning you should
be on distributed inventory placement
what you're gonna do is just change that
to inventory placement service not on
make sure it all goes to one place and
then you just click update and that's
all there there is to that so looking
back on the homepage of Amazon here a
lot to it but you don't need to actually
know how to use all of these for now I
showed you all the basic tools as I said
I'll be going into more detail on each
of these as the future videos come out I
know this section was a little bit
boring and it wasn't the most exciting
but my next video will now be getting
into the product research methods and
things will start to piece together a
lot better and the content will get a
lot more exciting I promise you so if
