what's going on guys and welcome back to
my channel in this video I'm going to be
covering how to differentiate your
product and why it's important
so in tomorrow's video I'll be going
over actually writing the listing but in
this video I want to talk about how you
can make your product stand out and
overcome the competition so for a lot of
you guys if you're just entering the
market bringing in a product that's the
exact same as all the others
what incentive what people have to buy
your product over the next guy that's
what I really want to talk about because
it is super important and if you aren't
differentiating there's a good chance to
lose and you won't succeed with FDA so
you have to make sure that your
customers are actually willing to buy
your product so first let's talk about
the key points like I said pictures
title all that has to be really well
done and for your pictures you want to
use pictures that are different from
your competition and better than your
competition so maybe they have pictures
of the product but they don't have the
picture of the product in use so you can
do pitch to the product and use don't
use stock photos make sure that's such a
different it can stand out and then you
want to find a way to make your product
have more value than the competitors so
whether it's perceived value or actual
value you want to make it seem like
there's there's something better about
your product than the next guy so
something I would recommend for you guys
would be looking at the reviews of the
products that you're going and that
you're going to be competing against and
see what people don't like about those
products and find ways to improve them
so I'm gonna pull up this listing right
here and I'm just gonna show you guys an
example of that so right away we can see
this product this is a walking t-rex
it's quite a few listings for this
product and they all look very similar
I'm gonna show you guys some things that
I recommend doing if you want to
differentiate for this type of product
so as you can see this guy doesn't have
five star reviews so we know that there
is definitely room for improvement
I'm coming down to the customer reviews
and looking at one-star reviews
oftentimes it's a lot of hate and people
just hate the product overall they don't
really give constructive criticism so
you can't check the one-star reviews but
I think usually the two to four star
reviews offer a lot more value let's
just check the one star first here and
see what it comes up so first of all we
can see that there is quite a lot of one
sort of ease and you see things like
fell apart after about two months made
one one roar and one also it's
stop working another one saying it's got
roaring a lot of things breaking not
working so one thing you could do to
make sure that your products is better
and it's get an inspection done so you
make sure that it's a higher quality
product you won't be having one-star
reviews now I'm Tim Academy to see the
two star reviews
so more defective lower quality people
won't just ha yeah people are starting
happy with this quality here so one
thing you would really want to do is
make sure that your quality is up to par
and maybe you can have something that
says like quality all products have been
inspected or something like that this
one here if you look at three star
reviews this is a little bit more
constructive because now people just
hating on the product or saying it's
junk it's actually some good information
that this guy here good toy but I wish
it came with some batteries already that
could be something you could potentially
people are adding to this product so I
was coming without batteries maybe all
the other competitors aren't coming with
batteries as well and if you were to
supply batteries with it for the same
price people would see a lot of value in
that and they would most likely go with
yours so they don't have to go over
their weight or your batteries as well
another one here it has no balance so
that falls over after a few steps so you
can tell your manufacturer that you need
to be more balanced make some
adjustments to the product really good
information from the reviews that's one
way to differentiate it just pick up the
information that others have left for
you and make those changes and make sure
it's better for the customer than your
competition another thing you can do is
add a little accessory or some more
value like for example you can find
products where maybe they sell them a
2-pack instead of a 1 pack so it's
something like let's just say you were
selling tape someone was selling one
roll duct tape maybe it's another person
goes in themselves a 2 pack with duct
tape a little more expensive price but
with a better value maybe it's not as
expensive if you actually count per roll
do a little things like that really get
customers to look at your product and
really consider it over the competition
another good way to find what what other
customers like is you can look down
right here into the frequently bought
together and so Amazon is already put
together these products that's something
that most people are buying as a package
so you can see that probably from three
different sellers or it could be from
the same sellers I don't know but you
can see three different transactions you
can add all of these different products
to your cart one thing you could do is
maybe I would release this product and
throw in some of these little toy
dinosaurs as well with it so you have a
big product which is obviously a bit
more expensive cost for you and then
these little cheap dinosaurs which are
probably not much out on top of that so
that would be called bundling so a lot
of you guys are asking about bundling
and how to properly do it you asked if
you can send your product from one
manufacturer to another so they can
bundle another product with it or if you
should have it sent home and bundle it
all yourself what I already recommend
doing is try and find a manufacturer
that can include all of the items you
want in the bundle just because if
you're having to send it from one
manufacturer to another becomes a bit of
a headache then after that you're gonna
have to get an inspection make sure
everything's put together well or if you
send all the way to your house first
you're gonna be paying for the shipping
to your house and then you have to
manually spend your time to put this
package together and then send it out
which is gonna cost you even more money
so I would just recommend finding a
manufacturer that can bind related
products together and you can't find one
that can find the exact products you
want maybe you find something similar or
look for some different alternatives you
really can go the route of signing them
one manufacturer to another but just
because a bit of a headache and I
wouldn't recommend it especially for new
sellers so that's one way to
differentiate your product really
bundling is something that I really
believe in and I think it looks works
very well also the pictures so like this
one here we can see he has pictures of
just a product on a white background but
no pictures of the product in use I'm
not gonna click that video I'm not sure
if that is it if it is that's great but
just based on these pictures it doesn't
show anything actually a noose maybe you
could have like a picture of a kid
playing with it or something like that
just to stand out a little bit more and
this should really help you guys out so
just consider adding that little bit of
extra value of course your price to be
higher than the competition
if it's justified so if I added a few
little more dinosaurs to this package
maybe I'm charging like $3.00 more
something like that but people see it
and they see it as ad volume so they're
willing to pay more I've always
considered that when you guys are
creating your listings and shooting your
products because if you're just going in
there with the exact same product I can
someone with 100 reviews that's close to
five stars why would someone go with a
new guy who has the exact same product
or what
Speedy's exact same product with no no
history so that's my biggest
recommendation to you guys thank you
