what's going on guys welcome back to the
channel in this video I'm gonna be going
over how to write a powerful the
description and bullet points for your
Amazon FBA listing in tomorrow's video
I'm gonna be going over the keyword
optimization but in this video it's all
about the description and bullet points
because if people find your listing if
your write-up is terrible there's a good
chance and we'll be able to convert them
so let's take let's hop in the computer
here and go from where we left off
yesterday
so yesterday's video we created our
listing if you're on the inventory page
now you're just gonna go to the right
hand side here and click Edit so once
you click Edit you're gonna be looking
at a page that looks like this so
yesterday we entered the vital info just
so you guys know before I go too far
into this video and last video I was
going over a mini sewing machine but I
actually changed that product that I'm
gonna be using for this example because
I thought uh sewing machine was just a
little bit boring and I didn't feel like
speaking about it for the next few
videos so I changed it to these things
called squishy toys they look like this
just a little bit more fun it's a toy a
little bit more exciting I know you guys
probably have boring niche products
anyways but I just thought for the sake
of this video let's make it a little bit
more fun so let's go back on the product
info page and when we're looking at this
page we already know we have our product
name or brand name apparently we're
gonna come back to later with the
keywords and sort of optimize it a
little bit better but for now we're just
gonna move past that variation you guys
are dealing with offer this is where you
could put your price so your retail
price for this product I hadn't said
that the sewing-machine price was a bit
too much for these guys let's see 20
let's say we were going for like twenty
one dollars you can have this so it'll
show up as a manufacturer's retail price
so they can actually cross out the line
on the listing let's see if these guys
have done it so I would actually cross
out this line here and put your price
house just makes it appear a little bit
better starts out date I don't really
know when we're going to start selling
yet so I'll just leave that blank for
now but just move on to the description
so quickly
compliance you can add all this
information here so ask your supplier if
you don't know the exact weight and all
that and you don't have batteries don't
worry about the compliance as well
pictures we're going to come back to
later and let's go into the description
so for the description this is the part
on the listing at the very bottom here
so usually it's just a little bit of
text these guys are a vendor account so
they do get to have pictures you guys
aren't going to be having pictures right
away but nevertheless we're still going
to make a good description and it's
still going to be appealing to the
customer also these five bullet points
right here can't see what's going on
these five bullet points right here are
the most important first visually they
have to appeal to the customer because
because this is the first thing that
they're reading when they get on this
page so those five bullet points are
these key product features as you can
see those five lines here and we're
gonna want to use all of them and make
sure that we've used the most of the
space that we're given so I've already
written up a description for you guys
and the bullet points so let's go ahead
over to that and I'll explain my my
thoughts behind those so now we're on my
Google Docs page where I've written my
bullet points out my description already
if you guys are writing a description I
recommend you guys write it somewhere
outside of Amazon so whether in word or
using Google Docs just save it somewhere
else in case you ever lose your Amazon
listing or you need to go back to this
it's just somewhere you can have it on
file just a copy paste it in to Amazon
later also if you guys are not using
Google Docs or word I just recommend you
guys use Google Docs if you don't have
word it's completely free just go on
Google type Docs and it should be the
first link that comes up click it and
it'll bring you to a page sort of like
this so you can write your own document
so anyways let's take a look at that
bullet points first of all you can see
looking at it the format for all of them
looks very similar I'll have a little
check mark here then I have an all caps
lock sort of heading and then a little
description written in normal text
without any caps so first of all let's
talk about these little tick marks so we
traveled to Derek struggle I know he
uses this as well and I think it's a
good way to stand out from your
competition and just make it pop a
little bit more this along with the all
caps heading makes it really pop off the
page it doesn't blend in with everything
else so to find the check mark or a tick
symbol like this all you have to do is
just go to google and you can just type
in literally a check mark symbol so you
can see that's all I did here and then
right without even having to click on
you can see there's a few options here
you can just take this copy it and then
paste it into your document also if you
wanted like a smiley face or something
like that you could just type in smiley
face symbol and I'm sure something like
that would come up as well so just a
little trick to differentiate yourself
and yeah then I put in the all caps
heading so here I do something that
really catches people's attention so
perfect stocking stuffers right now
we're right around Christmas so I'm
really trying to appeal to that
Christmas shopper you can see this one
best variety hours of fun superior
quality 90-day warranty
so all those headings are something that
people would probably be very interested
in knowing more about and I give them a
little one sentence just to explain a
little bit more so one reading is these
descriptions I try to make it fun try to
make it exciting think of it from a
marketer's perspective you know there's
a lot of these Chinese sellers or people
who don't have English as their first
language and they don't know how to
write a description like this but
thinking of like the big companies think
of like coca-cola Nike all these big
companies that really make marketing fun
and make it a little bit more exciting
we don't want to read something for
example that would just say like fun toy
great for great for kids like we want
something that makes people smile makes
them happy feel a little bit of emotion
so first of all this first one is a
perfect stocking stocking stuffers
spread holiday cheer with these
irresistible EQ squishies the perfect
Christmas gift for animal lovers of all
ages so you can see in this one I've
used some adjectives cute some words
differentiate just from saying squishy I
like to add a little bit more
personality to it I'm trying to appeal
to the fact that this will make people
happy I'll make them cheerful in the
holidays and it's good for every or for
animal lovers of all ages all all kids
and parents whatever it may be a lot of
people will like this toy then best
variety so this is a tactic I use to
also differentiate myself from the
competition I said enjoy sixteen
different animals and it's one-of-a-kind
set so again sort of emphasizing that
fact that this is a unique set different
from all of the others featured animals
include the adorable kitten playful Pig
funny bunny and many more so instead I'm
just saying this package includes a cat
a pig a bunny I sort of added a little
made a little bit more playful adding
those adjectives
more again it's more of like a marketing
tactic it makes it a little bit more
exciting and people will remember this
over your competition down to the next
point I was a fun to squish them and
squeeze them and stretch them put a
smile on the face of your friends and
family with these fun living toys stress
relievers been hilarious decorations so
here instead of just saying it's a fun
toy for all I say squish them squeeze
them stretch them so it gives them a
little bit of idea of the functions of
the product put a smile on the face of
your friends and family with these
fun-loving toys of stretch leaves and
hilarious decorations so creating some
emotion with that smile part friends and
family talking to her friends and family
makes people feel warm and makes them
feel happy and I also mentioned it their
toys stress relievers and decorations so
then sort of adding the different
functions of the of the product it's in
how a camisa stress reliever and
hilarious decoration not just a toy so
looking at the next statement I say
superior quality so again I'm taking a
shot at the fact that we are better than
the competition but just suddenly sort
of saying that and then I say
manufactured with the highest grade
silicone our squeegee started built to
last
never pay for another squishy again so
this format of how I've actually
structured this little write-up is a
little bit different than the others so
I refer to this in my previous video and
this is another tactic you you guys can
use it's called a fab statement so that
stands for feature advantage benefit
where I list the feature state the
advantage and then the benefit of that
advantage so you can see I said
manufacturer with the highest grade
silicone so the highest grade silicone
obviously you would want to make sure
that your product actually is this is
truthful I just use this as a quick
example because I just came up with it
on the spot but the feature is the
higher grade silicone and then our
squishes are built to last so the
advantage is its high quality and it's
going to last and the benefit of that is
you never have to pay for another
squishy again so you'll save money and
never have to actually buy another
product like this unless you just want
more variety of course we've been down
to the net to the next one 90 day
warranty so I know there's a lot of
people really do like seeing this and
the bullet points just because they feel
confident about your product and you had
this and they know if your part doesn't
turn out well they can get their money
back so I'd say we know you will love
our products so I'm just saying that
showing our confidence in our product if
you don't we will happily
we will happily refund your payment
within 90 days that's a quick just quick
bullet points what I would do now is
I'll just take these and copy paste them
into the actual listing okay so now I
have all of our bullet points ready to
go so those look great and let's move on
to the echo description so for the
description I'm sort of taking
information that I didn't have in the
bullet points and stating that here if
it's important or just elaborating on
some of this stuff up top that I really
want to tell them a little bit more
about so as you can see here I said give
the perfect gift set for animal lovers
of all ages this Christmas with candy
ones squishy toy set I think I changed
my name I think we're like squishy land
or something I just chose a random name
for this but squishy lands squishy toy
set so first of all I just a catchy
heading so people can see that you can
see how it bowled it as well and then
going into the bullet points a lot of
people don't use bullet points in the
description so I like it it also helps
separate certain areas so just makes us
stand out a little bit more and easier
to read for your customers so you can
see it's done I'm just an expansion of
what I said in these five points so you
can see I have five points out there
five points up here
you can add more but this is just my
personal preference so first of all it's
I say one of the one of this year's
hottest products are squishy toys have
been one of the most sought-after gifts
of the year for women and children of
all ages so telling them a little bit
more about the prop the audience so if
someone was shopping for this for their
dad they would know okay maybe it's
better for women and children or if
someone was looking for their mom they
could see this and say oh my mom was a
woman maybe she likes animals it could
be good for her I don't know and then I
go about the variety pack a little bit
more so here I want to list all the
different products that are included so
this unbeatable variety pack includes
and then I'll just list out all of the
items included in this one I only said
the main the most exciting products here
you can see I sort of listed more just
get those keywords in so Pig kitten
bunny ferret fish whatever however many
there are I just list them there then I
talk about the different uses as the toy
of the toys so similar to how I said I
was a fun and told the describe that as
a stress reliever decoration and toy
here I just elaborated on that a little
bit more so that you could use them as a
or a stress relief aid or just as a toy
to pass the time so a little bit more
detail and similar similar concepts for
the other two bullet points as well also
what you can do is if there's anything
you left out like for me I had washing
the cleaning instructions maybe you have
something similar or some other
instructions that they would need to
know before buying this you can put that
here as well so I can you can see guys
out of cleaning instructions and then
very simple instructions for them to
follow so once we're happy with our
description what we're gonna do is we're
gonna actually copy/paste it so we're
gonna select it all coffee and instead
of pasting it directly into Amazon we're
gonna put it on to a website called word
to HTML so we're to HTML calm and just
press paste and the reason we're doing
this is because if we were to paste this
directly in Amazon it would actually
take away all of our formatting so our
bullet points our spaces are bold
everything's just gonna be squished into
one paragraph or all the text is the
same and it's gonna be hard to read
you're not gonna be able to tell where
the next line is supposed to start and
if I was a customer I wouldn't want to
read a paragraph that looks like this
long and it doesn't stand out nothing
stands out at all I'm probably gonna
skip past it so you want to ensure that
customers can read this so go to word
HTML and the word editor then go to the
HTML tab here on the right side click it
now you can see the code for this and
we're just gonna press clean that's
gonna shorten that for us and we're just
gonna take that now and copy paste it
into our product description so you can
see now I'm still at eight hundred and
seven characters left so if you guys
want to go back you can add a little bit
more make sure that you guys are adding
keywords in this I'm gonna talk about
this a little bit more in tomorrow's
video but make sure you incorporate
keywords in your product description on
your title because recently Amazon has
made it so you cannot use as many
backend keywords as you used to be able
to so now it's a big factor that you
guys make sure you you make the most of
the opportunities to use your keywords
to rank up for other keywords and be
found by your customers so that's pretty
much everything I have for you guys as
far as writing the listing goes so I
hope you guys enjoyed that video I know
I didn't touch the title yet I decided
to keep that for tomorrow's video where
we actually go over keyword optimization
because the title is very important for
keywords but I hope you guys like this
