Nicehash Multi CPU / GPU Cryptocoin Miner & Benchmark Software Video Lecture | CPU Mining: Basics to Expert - Cryptocurrency

hello guys it's Lee here welcome back to
another video in this video I'm going to
be sharing with you a new miner or an
updated miner is actually using the nice
hash mining system so this miner is a
little bit different to other miners in
the fact that it's a multi miner and
what it does is it mines using your
hardware and then it exchanges that
using its own marketplace and then it
exchanges that directly for Bitcoin so
what you'll find is that your mining
using a GPU miner
but it's actually going to exchange that
directly for Bitcoin the basic idea is
that you should get the best
profitability from your actual hardware
and receive payments directly in Bitcoin
versus mining and one coin selling going
for an exchange then selling back to
Bitcoin and all that kind of business so
it's quite useful and there's a couple
of reasons what I want to show you this
it's actually a pre-roll video
effectively and because nice hash has a
few cool features one of which is
benchmarking so what you can do is you
can start up the actual benchmark and
what it does is it measures your actual
hardware it runs it over several
different algorithms and then it will
give you a score for each algorithm
which you can then use that data or
information in another video that we'll
be doing
following up to this one so it's a
little bit weird formatting as well I'm
sorry I'm a bit off-center and I've got
my other camera in the other office and
so unfortunate of it offset it like it
is now I'm afraid but hopefully the
content will be good and so on the
screen behind me you can see I'm already
at the actual nice hash Calm website and
I'm just going to show you through how
to download the actual miner
install it get up and running with it
and then we'll go for the benchmarking
and I'll show you how it actually works
so I'm just going to look away now to
this side here so we're actually on the
nice hash comm website and that's where
when you go to start this whole process
you see a green button on the left hand
side cell hashing power so we want to
select that then you want the nice hash
miner select that and then or just
actually
open up a natural another window and
from here you can download the nice hash
minor for Windows they do provide
regular updates so basically each time
there is new updates you like the SG
minor or the CC minor which is
integrated within the nice hash minor
and they'll the nice hash obviously
releasing update as well there too so
it's always good to keep up with the
most recent updates and last time I
checked those on 1.6 and there abouts
and so that's kind of where we're
starting from today so that's actually
just downloaded now so now I want to go
to our downloads folder and open up you
can see I've got a whole bunch of other
things in there so you want to select
the actual download it's in zip format
and we're just going to go and extract
it it shouldn't take them home okay
there it is so it's nice hash minor one
point six point one four so just going
to open that and go inside that folder
so then we've got a few different files
in here but we want just a nice hash
minor got yak seen so we're going to
double click on that and start it it
says that we need some dotnet framework
and depending on which - that you've
downloaded in the past you may already
have this installed or not and so I'm
going to download and install this
feature I'm hopeful it shouldn't take
too long ok so the dot 3.5 framework has
been downloaded and installed so that's
a close that you should wear to continue
I think I need to double click on the
actual minor again okay install language
English
okay if you get this Aaron this is
actually for the eighth miner and I
heard this area a few times I don't know
exactly what causes it but that file is
actually in one of the other
installation files for in my case it's
actually one of my general each miner
folders so I'm just going to acknowledge
that and I think I know how to fix it so
that's just mmm
yes so in the main folder of this bin
folder what I'm going to do is I'm just
going to copy from my general folder I
think is that almost it might not be MS
vcp 120 I think that's it
and then I'm just going to close this
and just restart I'll just show you this
in just in case you run into the same
problems
okay so that's coming through its
detected our CPU but mmm can't see my
graphics card in there so we need to add
in a few details let me just close the
browser here so this is the main kind of
information panel if you like and the
main dashboard so at the top you've got
your service location I'm in the UK so
I'm going to select European and then
you've got your Bitcoin address this is
the address that you're going to be
receiving your Bitcoin payments to
regardless of what coin you're actually
mining this is where it's going to
exchange and pay you back and then
you've just got like an actual reference
over like a a miner nickname in this one
I'm gonna use Walker ten now I'm going
to go to the benchmark just wanted to
show you exactly how this works and the
useful information that it provides so
the nice hash miner supports CPU and GPU
line so you can see at the top there
we've already got some CPU settings and
we've got four different algorithms so
it's gonna what the benchmark is going
to do is going to basically do it like a
test for your CPU and GPU and on exactly
which ones you have selected there what
I'm going to do is we've got this in
video 5 series so I believe that is it's
not quite clear but I believe that is
the Nvidia and the CUDA version which I
can't actually select for some reason ok
guys sorry about that just that to pause
the video just very quickly there
because they have a driver problem so
I'm using a NVIDIA GTX 970 and I was
using the free four seven eight eight
drivers previously to start in this
video I'm focusing those drivers don't
actually work with the nice hash miner
and they work really well with the
etherium eath miners and the general
miner and also claymores miner but with
the nice hash and there was causing some
problems so I've just actually updated
the drivers and it looks like we're good
now so the drivers that I'm currently
using are three six eight point eight
one so back on the screen now and you
can see we've got our CPUs obviously
particular as it was before and you can
now see our nvidia 0.5 cuda version GTX
970 which is exactly what we've got so
now we can continue on from here
hopefully I can show the benchmark which
is what I wanted to show you just a
moment ago so if we actually select it
go to benchmark you can see that it has
already selected them so this is the
actual nvidia cuda version that we're
going to be using and what we're going
to do is we're going to start the
benchmark we're just going to do a
standard benchmark and and we're just
going to let it run what the benchmark
is actually going to do is going to run
through each algorithm in turn doing a
quick test and it's basically going to
score it and give us a hash rate for
each one of those devices what I'm going
to do I'm also going to slip the CPU as
well the CPUs at i7 950 overclocked I
think it's currently at about 3.9
gigahertz from memory approximately I'll
confirm that in the video description
and whatnot also the graphics card I'm
just going to take that back down to
standard clocks or sorry about that let
me just do that first actually it will
already cuz I had to do a restart after
the driver install so that's back to
standard clocks okay so what them do is
I'm gonna start its benchmark down it's
going to take quite a while to get
through but what I'll do is I'll
time-lapse the video so it won't take
too long and then we'll come back to it
and just complete the actual overview
and then we'll get on with some actual
mining using the nice hash miner so
let's start that now and we'll see how
we get on okay so it's been about 10
minutes and the nice hash benchmark hair
is just completed so it takes each
algorithm in turn and each one takes
about 20 to 30 seconds some are a bit
longer so I'm a bit less but it goes to
each one in turn and what it's going to
do is actually give us a performance
rating for each one of the algorithms so
if I just select we've got X 11 there 8
mega hash X 13 6 min - so on and so
forth and it gives you a whole breakdown
and so what I'll do now is I'll just
close that
so now that our system has been
benchmarked natural the nice hash miner
basically has a reference to know
exactly how our hardware is going to
perform for each different algorithm and
what it can do is it use that
information to then connect to the
actual nice hash network or marketplace
to sell our hashing power for the best
return so what going to do it out so
that's all been done and we're basically
ready to start mining at this point so
let's click the start button we've got a
invalid working in some reason don't
know what is there's haven't even oh
it's only allowed to be up to seven
characters long so let's just go with
work at ten um let's click start
okay so it's opened up two windows one
is for the CPU minor and one is for the
GPU minor obviously we've got them both
selected and it has chosen for each of
them let me just move this to the side
and then we'll get a little look here of
eggs actly what's going on so at the top
window we've got the CC minor and it is
using Lara two revision 2 so that looks
like it's mine in vert coin presumably
I'll over coin I'll use the algorithm
and the CPU minor is also using Lara to
re I don't know exactly what the
difference is between that to your
revision 2 I don't know what difference
is they're open to - haven't really
looked into it but we're currently CPU
mining and GPU mining like say the nice
hash miner is determined that's going to
be yielding the best profit and what it
does is actually changes over time so we
should always be minding the most
profitable Qin so what I'm going to do
now is I'm just going to leave that
running for a few minutes and then I'll
just show you on the actual nice hash
interface and how that looks and how you
can monitor your miners and things like
that
so let me just do that now
so on the actual nice hash website if
you go to miners and sellers if you go
to my a miner
enter your Bitcoin address find I'm not
sure exactly how long this takes
updates typically you're probably about
five minutes or 10 minutes something
like that so don't be too upset if you
see the speed is not quite right or it
hasn't updated properly just yet just
give it like say five or ten minutes and
that should update nicely I just wanted
to show you that as well as so that is
basically it so the nice hash miner is
mining it says that we should be earning
about $1 27 per day at this basis and
that might change as it starts hashing a
little bit more and it will give us a
bit better curat reading so that is it
that is a me using the nice hash miner
so this can take aways from this if
you're looking to mine and you don't
want to be mired in lots of different
coins exchanging them and selling them
back for Bitcoin this is probably
something that were quite useful for you
if you just want to basically click one
miner it's going to take care of the
whole transaction carnosine of things
and you're just going to receive Bitcoin
in the simplest way possible I will
point out that you're probably not going
to get the very best return for your
efforts if you manually do it you put
your games like a bear his hands but
this is quite an easy way to do and one
other thing that I wanted to say was and
the nice hash miner the built-in
benchmark told that it has is really
useful and I would come in on to more of
that in my next video which is more
about mining and which had to choose
which coins you want to miner for the
best profits and that benchmarking
component is going to be really useful
for that so I'll come back to that on
the next again so that's it for this one
