Testing The Wolf0 HODLcoin CPU Miner On i7 950 & A10 7700K Video Lecture | CPU Mining: Basics to Expert - Cryptocurrency

hi there guys it's Lee here welcome to
another crypto mining video so a short
while ago I made a video about Hodel
coin and it was kind of a first look at
the Hodel Qin network itself the Walia
mining and I had a little bit of
interest enough which is quite an
interest in crypto Qin so it's been a
couple of weeks since then I was
actually mining Hodel client on the Mac
just because I had the other pcs working
on other things but the Mac managed to
find a couple of blocks so we found free
blocks and was we was rewarded on just
over 150 or Hodel coins and some of
those I've put into the it's got like a
bank deposit type system and so I've
made some deposits and I'm just kind of
monitoring that on the side and the
problem is that the actual worm huddle
core network difficulty has increased
dramatically over the last couple of
weeks and two solo mine it just on a
single machine now isn't really
advisable it's going to take you much
longer to find blocks with just a single
machine and the good point is that some
developments have been made and there is
now a pull option available however I
can't actually because there's a CPU
miner that works with the pools but I
can't actually use that CPU miner on the
Mac so I'm going to leave them at
working on some other things and but I
can show you is a new CPU miner that's
been developed today by a person by the
name of Wolff zero and I've used some of
his stuff before I think he done some
crypto no CPU miners and some other bits
the name that's kind of ring a bell so
I'm pretty sure it's well known in the
kind of a crypto ecosystem and it looks
like it should be a good development so
what I'm going to show you today is the
new version of Wolff
zeroes a quadrille coin whiner and I'm
just going to show you on my home PC and
then I have another PC with different
CPU and yeah hopefully we'll be able to
discuss the actual performance and show
a little bit about it so I'm going to
show you now with the hope
I've not tested this yet so literally
I've just downloaded it and extracted
the zip file so this will even work or
it might have some teaming problems that
we might need to get through I did read
that the wolf zero Holloway minor works
best with newer CPUs ones specifically
that support AES - ni a I'm actually
gonna try it first on my home PC which
is a Intel i7 950 and it's overclocked
to just under about 4 gigahertz but it
doesn't actually support IES ni I do
have another chip and that we can use
and I'll come to that next so I've just
downloaded it and extracted the actual
huddle quite minor and I'm just going to
go with Paul start I've not actually
actually just take a quick look at yet
sure what's in the batch file itself so
just got a hotter miner
I guess this is my option I guess that's
set to Paul and then this is the actual
port address and then your worker
details and Ivan actually certainly work
details with this particular pool I just
want to start it really because I want
to kind of just get like a benchmark or
a reference it does also have an actual
benchmark batch file so maybe we should
run that first let's run the benchmark
batch file so this is on the i7 950
overclocked to 3.9 thumping gigahertz so
let's see what happens and it crashed
okay let's try the air pollution
it doesn't look like it's going to run I
did read that it might not actually run
on this machine Oh actually that was the
photo two bit version maybe let's try
the he's tried a 64-bit version and see
how we go on there I'll go with a
benchmark again let's see what happens
that doesn't want to run either okay
hold that for I'll be right back with a
another machine okay guys let's carry on
here so what I've actually done is I've
just used the TeamViewer to remote login
to another machine and the other machine
is another it's a Windows 8.1 machine
the chip is a AMD a10 7700 K and it is
overclocked to 4 gigahertz so I've just
used TeamViewer to login so and that's
what you can see on the screen now I've
transferred the Hodel Qin mine across
just a 64-bit version because it is a
64-bit chip and yet this chip also
supports the a a a es - ni function so
hopefully we'll run I will give it a go
with the benchmark first and see what
happens obviously because TeamViewer is
running um it will have an effect on the
actual processor slightly so you might
not get a true reflection okay so that
says 85 hashes per second um on the
actual so I just let it go there and
yeah on my on the iMac and that's got a
I 5 processor and that was getting
between 55 to 60 sometimes and hashes
per second so it's quite a bit faster
than that
I would like to have tested it on the my
home PC Leah the i7 just for a better
comparative basis and okay so that's the
benchmark skelos down and what I'll do
is I'll just go with this basic pull
start and we'll just see how that looks
and how it runs would anyone like an ice
cream to continue on I'm not even sure
if you can hit you should be able to
hear that it's a quiet loud coming
through the windows
okay so just hit pull start now and you
can see it's running on I'm pretty sure
there'll be an option in the actual
batch valve not read the actual read me
at the moment like there'll be an option
to set it to a certain amount of threads
at the moment it's mine and on the CPU
has four threads so it's more than on
all four threads and it looks like each
thread is getting about just over 20
hashes per second so that's like a
client I'll know if it gives you a oh
yeah it does at the end of each kind of
accepted shares it gives you a total
hash so we've got 75 there 71 much right
comes to that calculation when it goes
it looks like each fred has got just
over 20 hashes but then the totals are
Kenda Todd is picking up now 89 88 68
okay so if we get that running for a
little while longer we'll get a better
average of the actual hash rate but it
looks to be about 80 hashes per second
with that particular processor so and
that's going to be about it for this
video I don't have a very much more
toolkit so if you are interested in mine
in a huddle Quine and you can no longer
solo mine or that's you know because it
is too difficult now if you're not if
you're trying to mind just on the wallet
and the actual poor mining would be a
better option for you so with the actual
pool you just need to pick up all
there's a couple available now I just go
to those pool register with them and
then obviously and change your actual
batch file to match your pool
setting
and been just a jewel worker name and
your password and then you'll be up and
running and then you can actually
withdrawal your arm
Hodel coins from the pool and then send
them to your wallet so that's all for
