Easy CPU Monero & Crypto Coin Miner For Mac OSX Video Lecture | CPU Mining: Basics to Expert - Cryptocurrency

hi everyone its Leigh here in this video
I'm going to be showing you the easiest
way to Mayan crypto coins on your Mac
laptop or desktop computer so that's an
iMac power Mac and all those kind of
devices okay so we're just going to get
started the first thing you want to do
is open up your browser and just go to
Google and just type a search for minor
game.com and just click on the first one
that you see there the next thing you
went to is that actually on the miner
gate site you just want to go across to
the green button that says sign up just
enter your email address in here
just enter an email address and a
password a suit that's suitable for
yourself
just click sign up on the next page
you'll take and directly to a download
page and if it's not already selected
for you the one that you want it's
obviously the Mac version and if you
scroll further down you'll see various
options for different platforms but
obviously on this machine we want the
Mac version which is already
pre-selected at the top part up here so
we're just going to select get that core
it's finished downloading select that
then we just needed to drag it across to
the Applications folder and in this
instance just before actually we'll just
go ahead without we'll just drag it
across to the Applications folder I'm
going to replace an existing one that I
already had in there and you wouldn't
need to do that we can just close that
one and that's basically that
installation art now if you just go to
your launch pad or you can go to find
out and then applications or just go to
a launch pad then I'm just going to open
up the actual miner game miner you'll
see there they just popped up an error
I'll just show you how to deal with that
if you go to finder then if you go to
applications if you actually scroll down
to the mining a application select it
right click and then go to open you'll
get like a different message and it just
says that you need to verify to open it
click on open and then it will open
normally from that point on this um so
this is the actual mining a mining
application the top part you just need
to enter the email address that you used
to sign up with from on again calm you
can also additionally add in a password
which gives you extended details but you
don't actually in to add in the password
just your email address is fine then you
just want to click on start mining the
first post that you get is a start smart
mining and basically what happens is the
mana gate application will use the best
configuration it deems to give you the
most profitable mine personally I like
to click on the next button which is
that it all Meyer there and then I
personally just like to select my own
actual winner at the moment I'm
personally a mining XML which is men
arrow that's one of my favorite coins
the mine and you can just CPU mine that
with your Mac and you'll get a
reasonable amount of coins without
burning too much of ectasy and so I just
click on that this number on the right
hand side here is just how many CPU
cores you're going to be using if you're
intending on using the computer at the
same time you probably just want to use
half your CPU cores but in this instance
I'll just set it to 2 and we'll select
start mining and then you'll see the
hash rate going up there and
additionally you can also sometimes end
on the coin you can also select merge
mining in this instance I am merging
mining it with a Louisville coin called
phantom coin it's not entirely necessary
but just means that you're basically
mining to cleanse at the same time and
is no extra you're not losing anything
in terms of performance it's just the
more efficient way to mine so it looks
that's not that is an option and just
makes more sense to do that and so
that's pretty straightforward and then
you can just minimize it
carry on with your other bits pieces
where you might like to do I'm just
going to jump back to the actual minor
gate website if you then go to Monaco
calm and login using your details if you
then click on your dashboard you'll see
an overview of the current coins that
you're actually mining so you can see
here that we're currently morning Manero
we've got 13 coins in a little bit and
it will also show you your current hash
rate and state it's online or offline
and also your current active workers you
can actually use multiple machines and
just make sure they're all using the
same email address and we'll all get
credited to your account so you can see
I've got two active workers and a mine
in Monaro and also at the same time
phantom coin using that much mining and
so that's basically clear so yeah really
simple just to give you a quick summary
go to miner game sign up with your
username or email address or e download
the application install the application
and then just start the application for
your email address and from there you go
one other point to mention is you might
want to adjust your max power saving
settings and it's quite common for max
to turn off and after a short period of
time if you're intending on mining all
the time I would recommend it for laptop
computers but for a desktop machine you
to select your computer to sleep
basically never I normally tell my
screen off but then I would just leave
the power settings set to never turn off
and obviously you can just go to that
Apple I put on turn the Machine off
manually should you wish but that will
just keep reminding when you actually
want it to mine so that's basically that
