SAVE STEAM CHAT HISTORY Video Lecture | Steam Tutorial: A Beginner's Guide - Game Development

hey guys are breeding here and today I'm
gonna be teaching you how to
automatically save your chat history so
this guide was made by a follower a few
days ago a followers got some great guys
make sure to check them out link to the
guide will be in the description below
but it's just basically letting people
know that there's a program out there
called chat log of plus plus so this is
a very easy to use program I want to
show you how to set it up and all the
fun stuff like that so first of all
there's the download link of course
there's the download link in the guide
here but I'll also link it down below if
you enjoy this guide please favor it and

this video a like if you feeling like it
anyways so once we click that we'll get
sent to this tab on Dropbox and we just
want to click download direct download
and then we'll see that will start
downloading in the bottom left here so
I'm going to get our full screen I'm
going to go to my downloads folder and
we can see chat logger got a double
click to open the zip and then extract
it to your desktop or wherever you'd
like so I'm just going to move this
through somewhere else I don't want to
eat in my downloads so Nathan programs
and you see I've already got it in here
but I'll press press new folder chat
logger I'm just going to place it in
here what I open it by double clicking
it and then I'll connect and we want to
go to the bottom right here and we'll
see chat log or plus plus we want to
click start with windows and that will
just make it so it starts up with
windows so you don't have to open it
again next time got to click on
configuration and we can change all
sorts of formats and how we like it and
we can change where it actually saves
the chat logs as well by clicking the
Browse function and all that all right
so I'm going to press ok so I've
actually got this already set up in
another instance I've got to set up in
steam chat logger and I see we've got
some previous chat history here so I'm
just going to get some more chat history
and it will add on to
this last chat that you've had so we can
see here that the last thing he sent me
was a YouTube video and so I'm just
going to send him another message and
see he's replied to me with hi and so
I'm going to open up the the so I'm
gonna open up the text document and we
can see that he's got our most recent
chat they're already in there added to
this text document so you can see every
time we go into it'll update a little
bit which is actually really helpful if
you want to find links that you can no
longer access with the steam chat window
or if you want to have some evidence of
some scamming etc but this is mainly
just used to see older messages that's
what I use it for if you like this type
