all right d hey guys we're going to be
doing what's called lair painting I
didn't mean to close that whoops and
this was actually full of trees and I
liked the fact that it was full of trees
so give me one freaking second with the

straight up import that and select all

the density density 10

to be very much at all so to ground

got what we needed to do this is our
level we're going to hit save those
little errors right there usually we're
able to fix that by doing that or

by doing that or we open up tools and go
to material editor which that didn't
even work those are little correction
errors they could be fixed easily in the
material editor and this pom material is
eating at our souls thankfully it's
fixed though so that's good um so let's
get into doing the whole painting thing
this is our default layer we're going to
call this ground okay and we need
another layer to paint and it needs to
be grass like so that's what we're going
to do
you sprites feel free sorry I'm having
issues you know you know if I went on a
flint the problem dynamic shading that
should deal with shadows
nothing needs to cash shadows right now
huh alright so let's begin so we're
going to need to create a second
material for this and to do that we need
to go here and we're going to delete
that and then
go into materials here we already have
grasped but that's not working out the
way it should so i am going to duplicate
this and then we because we're awesome
are going to go to grass and we're going
to try to make this work
there we go now we got this specular
going on here and we need to give it its
own height map too alright so there we
got everything that we need and we're
going to turn Palm off for now just so
we can blend it properly and we'll
assign the selected object alright so we
got our thing here and now we're going
to create a new layer and this new layer
is going to be called grass now we just
have to go here engine assets materials
that's totally wrong one wrong one
oh it does not want me to find where it
is sleeping

they really need to work on this

and use base color wow we still got a
red issue though it's the only problem
strip it to one it needs to be masked by
the ground
as you see it's not really working out
the way we originally want it
but is working on a lot better than it
did before
so there sorry about that I had to
temporarily break it
alright so we have that grass set up
there this this thing needs mental help
so we're going to rename this brass
this the one know that deletes it are

it is you see we have a few issues with
the material itself so let's try to
resolve those why we're here
oh I'm never gonna use to this all right

in level materials default one it's

using grass one and I need to put this
on the other side so I can check it
works

need to disable palm on this because I
don't really care for it anymore just
get Maktoum e we're going to change the
dis fuse we are going to I it styling is
correct good but I think we need to have
a larger amount of tile link for this
one there we go
and now we can just paint
so I am actually going to leave the pop
material enabled for this because it
allows me to have better blending
everywhere I paint this material things
are going to disappear okay now we're
running into a lot of issues that seems
so in fact what I'm going to do you do
that just to get rid of everything
temporarily I don't know why that did
that is a bit weird the bird and the
textures strange

yeah I don't know what to tell you that
was a bit weird
set this back to one then
farther we go out more that it seems to
get burned so I'm guessing it's a
problem with
maybe I should just leave it like that
that's pretty much how you do it though
