to make some simple adjustments to an
image we're going to look at changing
the contrast and brightness and hue and
saturation and they are all available
from the adjustment menu so in
brightness and contrast you can see the
change as you adjust the slider writer
or darker and with the contrast as well
this setting changes brightness for
example in the whole image you can't
adjust sections of it when you're happy
with what you've changed click OK or
cancel to adjust the hue and saturation
now hue is the color of a pixel and it's
like an angle on the color wheel as you
adjust the hue it changes the color and
it shifts the color around the color
wheel so it's changing
as you move it go around the color wheel
and the Browns to the Greens blue purple
the saturation is the amount of color
present in a pixel its intensity so if I
wanted to make that blue sky even bluer
I can move that to the right and it
changed the intensity of that blue going
all the way to the left makes the
picture more gray reduces the color
lightness is how much brightness is
added to that picture so how much white
or black is mixed in the color so I can
brighten the so I can brighten the sky
and then I could make that picture
lighter
and then okay
and then save it if you're happy with it
save it
it's time going to save it as a JPEG so
it's select JPEG and I can increase the
quality of that JPEG to 100% and the
higher the percentage the beginner file
and now I can change the name of it here
so I'm like that too
or call it edited so I keep my original
and saving into the Downloads now the

change the color of one part of your
image
