do today a tutorial on how to take a
portrait like this and you can take any
image and turn it into to give it a
sketch effect like a Crayola chalk slate
type effect so yeah let's get on to do
that so I've selected the image that I
want to do of myself clearly I'm going
to right click on my background layer at
the top there and duplicate and do that
again and then I'm gonna rename these
layers by double clicking them the
bottom one I'm gonna call it bottom
middle layer I'm gonna call it Meade
I never guess what I'm gonna call the
top layer go on so creative crazy and
then I am going to deselect my bottom
layer just by turning off so then I'm
gonna go to my effects browser now I
think that the pics of my team should
just add a sketch effect
long way around but it's not that
there's many ways that you can apply an
effect to what we've got here right
if I've got it selected here I can drag
and drop it to there I can drag and drop
it on canvas or the simplest way you
just double click ok so and that will
apply it to whatever cameras you've got
selected so we've applied that the
invert effect to our top canvas I'm then
gonna go to blending mode and drop down
and go to color dodge our screen will go
white don't worry about it we'll get
there soon and then going to go to my
blurs at the top and go goes on blue and
also apply that to my top you'll see
that I already get this type to around 9
pixels they're dependent what image oh
it's a portrait or a landscape you know
what image you that you're doing you go
John blur radius well after those differ
slightly but for this sort of portrays
just use 9 10 pixels in the range and
then I am gonna go and grab into my and
stylize in the effects so you can just
gone effects and then stylize just
leaving on all effects and just
scrolling through I'm gonna go to
stylize and drag some noise onto my top
layer this is gonna be around okay
and then I'm going to some rain drugs
and rain on there as well and I'm gonna
make the rain it's a bit eighty eighty
five percent at the top and - - hundred
twenty four on the bottom then I'm gonna
go to my middle layer do exactly the
same with the rain drag it onto my
middle layer and leave the strength and
the angle on what I add it to my
chocolate okay click OK and then I'm
going to turn go back to my left pane
and turn my bottom layer on he collected
around the office - down to around 50
percent so now we've got like this
really cool sketch effect no we're gonna
turn it into so you can leave it here if
you want to do and this is just sketch
effect no gonna turn into like chalk
slate type effect as well right so this
is the sketch on its own and now let's

if you've not got put tomato soup or two
blueberry then you won't have this
lightly you could do it I'm gonna drag
that onto my top layer
drag it into my corner here and then
change my lightly to Vega so in the Vega
drag exersaucer
boy's hair outta there you make the
radius bigger and smaller so you move
the actual light with this big one in
the middle and I'll put it in the corner
and the radius make it bigger like this
from an eternal the Sun eNOS light up
200% leave it there then go to my amend
and drag my amount up to about 57% of my
men
okay now what I'm going to want to do
that vintage which is next to our
lightly then we'll click that and put it
on my top layer as well
NOLA want to do is drag my vignettes up
to 100% leave it I'm normal my
saturation I want to drag that up to
about 68% and then click OK and as you
can see we've got like a chalk slate
sketch defect rocky so yeah I've done up
shows and you can do with any effect and
I say that you might just have to change
a few settings like your goal John blur
your radius on that will have to be
slowly different but yeah if you have
