hello and welcome to this tutorial today
we'll take a look at how record is laid
out and how to go about making your
first recording record is made up of
three main areas the sequencer the rack
and the mixer
it's easy to move between those areas
using three hotkeys f5 for the mixer f6
with Iraq and f7 for the sequencer right
time to create a new song and record
some guitar
note that we can skip several decisions
for our song like sample rate number of
tracks or even the name instead let's
just record you can choose from several
useful templates to start off with but
for now let's use an empty document and
simply create an audio track a track is
represented in each of Records three
main areas as an audio track in the
sequencer as an audio track device and
the rack and as a mixer channel in
records main mixer for now let's not
worry about the rack it will simply
build itself as our song grows when
recording we want to see the sequencer
and the mixer by pressing the f5 and f7
Keys simultaneously we get a split view
with the sequencer and mixer visible
before we start hit the tuning fork
button to make sure we're in tune looks
like we're good to go
