form the stronger syllable is the
second-to-last syllable just like in the
present tense so as I give you the
examples pay attention on the
pronunciation and the stronger syllable
so here's the first opening example it

conjugate regular verbs in the commands
simply follow two quick steps so step
one drop the ending of the verb and
switch the vowel and now we'll show you
exactly how this works so words ending
in AR you're gonna drop or remove the
final AR and add an e so you have here
the verb deja I drop the AR and I add an
e and the example I gave you in the
beginning was deja Silva cod a poison

verbs ending in ER you drop the ER and
you add an A and the example I gave you

dropped the ER of c'mere and I added in
a verbs ending in IR they behave just
like the verbs ending in ER I drop the
IR and I add an A so I have the verb

a tip to help you memorize these rules
they just said that the verbs end in an
AR and ER they kind of exchange the
vowels between themselves so they AR
verbs will end in E the ER verb zhù end
in a and then the ir verbs they kind of
imitate the ER verbs okay so when you
follow step one you get to the
conjugation for vas it this is usually
what we need when we are using the
commands because we usually talking to
one person and telling them to do this
or go there or say this and etc but you
certainly want to learn the conjugations
for the other person's of speech right
you want to learn the conjugation for
noise for verses so there is a pattern
to get to the other conjugations as you
know we work with patterns when we do
conjugations in Portuguese so I was good

all the other conjugations but I didn't
want to put it here because this last
one would be way too long okay now let's
see how you do the conjugation for the
irregular verbs and I know that
irregular verbs are usually a terror for
learners of Portuguese but I'm gonna
show you what trick that is going to
work for almost all the irregular verbs
and is going to work for all the
stem-changing verbs and it's going to
make it easier for you to learn the
conjugation and here's the trick it all
starts in the simple present for you and
then all you need to do is change the
very last vowel according to the pattern
in step one for regular verbs the
pattern we already saw in this lesson
I'll show you how this works here is the
verb teeth to have it's an irregular
verb
the simple present for you is 10 you and
now I only have to change the final vow
according to step 1 and in step 1 we saw
that er verbs will change to an A at the
end so I have Tanya that's the command
form in the conjugation for visit and

Portuguese we usually say have patience

so you really need to memorize the verbs
