you look at your Google Analytics you
notice that you get traffic a portion of
them stay on your website for a long
period of time and they may even buy but
most your visitors are staying on your
website for less than ten seconds that

to teach you how to increase your time
on site the first thing you need to do
is make sure your text size is large
enough from everything that I've tested
I've noticed that when you put really
small text size people are much more
likely to bounce off it's not that
they're blind it's because people are
using mobile devices and tablets these
days so if your text size is really
small it's going to be hard for them to
read and they're just going to bounce
right off the second thing that you need
to do is focus on storytelling the more
storytelling you do you'll notice that
people will continue to reading the
story they'll be engaged they'll be
hooked and they'll stay on your website
that's why I tell a lot of stories not
just on videos but sometimes through my
blog content or even on my about page
it's a great way to get people hooked in
so they're continuing on your website
scrolling and reading the third thing
you need to do is use crazy egg crane
egg is a tool that shows you how people
engage on your website it will show you
mouse movements quicks it will show you
how far people scroll it will even show
you people are clicking on stuff that
they shouldn't be clicking on such as
images that aren't clickable as you're
gathering all this user data you can
then make changes for example I realize
that people on my web pages with crazy
egg are going all the way to the bottom
reading the conclusions on my blog post
and then scrolling back up and I didn't
have conclusions on every blog post
after I started adding conclusions to
all my blog posts my time on site
increase why because I found that my
readers like reading the conclusion
first to figure out if they want to read
the rest of the posts due the fact that
I summarized all of my blog posts within
the conclusion but if I didn't use crazy
egg I would have never noticed that the
fourth thing you need to do is use
different content types a lot of people
have text on their website but what
about videos and audio file if you look
at neil patel com I have a page just for
podcast I also have a page just for
videos by having video and audio
on my website my time on site has
increased I even created tools my time
on site for my tools page is more than
double than my text pages that just
shows you that you need to use different
content types
v strategies that you need a leverage is
visuals by having images within your
text in your web pages it keeps people
engaged no one just wants to look at
blocks of text use images that help
convey your messages right a picture
says a thousand words so if you use
these visuals appropriately people are
going to be more hooked and they're
going to stay on your webpages longer if
you use these five main strategies
you'll increase your time on site
