hello everyone welcome back today I will
go into another installment of my
tutorial back to basic using project
2000 our profession edition today we go
study the polyline command so what is
polyline holy line is basically a
connected sequence of lines and up then
is treated as a single entity rather
than a sample entity when you draw a
line or an arc you will be treated as a
separate entity let's say for example
when I draw a line from one point to
another point when you highlight the
click on you erase we will go and a
separate entity then goes to the arc
whereas for a polyline it will be
slightly different
okay so how to execute the polyline
there are three methods of course one
will be dancing the toolbar which is on
the side toolbar and the polyline all of
course the top menu bar and a draw on
the line or you can ask you on the
command prompt which is under P line
click or type enter
and you get the command they are
basically the same to execute the
polyline command
so let's look into this polyline command
of course there are a few various
options that we'll go through first
let's execute the polyline command so
enter the last or the used last point
below you know because you have started
the new drawing they will not have any
last point or follow point so what you
do is you click anywhere on your
worksheet and there are few other
options that are available to you
of course one move it up distant or low
half with lift and next point so
basically we'll go on the default which
is the next point so when you click the
next point and the following points you
have another option which is arc close
the new option will be close and undo
you can also undo it type view too and
do the previous line see you go back to
the first point and then when you type C
you'll close a poly up we draw and the
polyline has been closed so when you
highlight you will acts as a sequence of
a single entity rather and then an
individual entity so if you were to
erase the entity the whole entity will
be gone so let's undo that
so that's the first option which is the
most simplest or the default option so
now we go for the second option on your
line if you want to click the follow the
last point or the use the last point you
just enter and we will come from the
last point which is your last point
before you're close let's try that again
if you say follow you follow the length
of the last two points so let's start
with a new polyline click anywhere on us
on your worksheet this time we'll go
under distance type D and the distant of
Cyclone let's say for example I want it
to be 200 units and as you can see the
line has been drawn in 200 units you
just click anywhere on the point and it
will be 200 units exactly this time I
want it to be 350 again so as you can
see the first line will be 200 units the
second line would be 350 unit there will
be a more exact skill if you wanted to
draw a polyline with scale or to scale
so again go under polyline start off
with a new point now this time we'll
take follow of course follow you'll
follow the previous alright I can see
the previous anger parallel with the
previous line they have reactron right
so this is the option to follow
only line click and then this time we'll
go for half-width
so happy is very interesting so let's
try this
so type hitch the first half with I want
it to be zero and the second half will
operate at 100 so when you click at any
point oops
you can see the first point will be zero
the second point will have a width of
100 and then when you click another line
we follow suit and 100 we head up at the
front and at the end so and then if you
don't close this to look it nicer you
can type hitch again starting half will
be hungry and then the ending happy go
back to zero done so this is the
function of half width if you draw a
polyline that has whiffed have different
wave on the starting point and as well
as the ending point so then another one
would be say we're under standard width
which is something like the center you
know type W and this time we'll specify
50 wave and
well this big what happened they're all
in line lift let's do a race that thing
there was a mistake in the command so
you have to be careful when you use the
polyline anyway you can delete it if you
are not satisfied with it

an arc you simple check a 2011

again to get back the line and then cut
back so basically is to draw an arc on
the polyline so again as I said earlier
it consists of a sequence of lines and
AK form a column line or form a single
entity so whenever you do adjustment you
can click on the pick point here and
then you can achieve the adjustment by
pulling out or moving in to your liking
