hello welcome back another week another
back to basic video for you guys and
girls out there today we will look at
how to draw smooth polyline and also
planes using project 2011 professional
edition so what is smooth polyline
smooth polyline basically contains or
consists of curve where you want to draw
a smooth curve which is irregular is
this not a circle or an ellipse or an
arc you'll see in a moment what it looks
like so to activate this smooth polyline
there is a name for this you can
actually use the toolbar which is shown
here Espie line or plane or spline now
we can fill the put a spline and also
you can go to your Manu - Manu bar which
is under draw spline SP line here okay
let's look at our drawings you know the
drawing I have drawn some rectangular
and lines I have copied out into for
duplication so that we want to see the
difference in the spread line that we're
going to draw okay and also I have
created a layer so that you'll be easier
for us maybe let's change this color
layer to blue instead so they'll be
easier okay instead of green okay let's
start by drawing or learning how to draw
smoke polylines we will use the menu bar
as usual we're not use the tool bar
because many people or many users may
want to hide this tool bar to gain some
space workspace on your
PC so let's start by going into the menu
bar under draw spline actually this is
named as smooth polyline so it's a short
cut or short name for smooth polyline
click on spline and let's start drawing
by the way I have also activated the
endpoint so that I don't have to type
the end point every time
so the first part click the second point
dot point 4 5 6 and so forth okay
and then you can once you have complete
you enter by pressing the spacebar on
your keyboard to enter or the Enter key
on your keyboard to enter
enter enter and you leave now you can
see this is what we call is move
polyline irregular cuff it's not a
circle or ellipse is an irregular curve
there's also another option under speed
line or under spline wanna draw in
execute the command press the first and
the second point and we go under the sub
option which is fit tolerance let's type
F we want to see the different let's go
for draw unit 50 these dogs 0 the
default 0 as you can see the first
drawing now we define as 50 enter and we
continue clicking the same point
enter enter and done can you see the
difference with the unit of 50 and zero
there's a different in terms of your
curviness I can see this actually is
much smoother but it may not be what you
wanted because you will see that it
actually goes into overlapping some of
the ages oh by the way free line usage
is very mostly used by surveyors lends
the wheels where they want to draw
contours
if you don't know wise controls but they
can check with your friendly service for
a contours to show the levels of land it
now let's go into the third option let's
try the Egyptian again first point
second point this time we go back to
default which is zero fit color is 0
enter and we pick all the edges again
this time we type C to close the spline
all polyline just enter C on the
keyboard and the
enter sexy the first and the third
polyline basically are the same because
they are under the feet tolerance of
zero but it is close at the edge as you
can see is actually a polyline itself
and these are all polylines
so that's different between the first
bit up close and close so that next
we'll try the spline and option first
point again second point we continue
with the third of okay and this time
when we and we'll try to select the
starting tangent point let's start with
the starting tangent point enter and
then the ending tangent point which will
feel that this may be ending tangent
point to enter click it up you can see
the line actually curve in to n at this
tangent point which is pointing to this
angle so can you see the difference okay
let's try another one let's copy
the triangular box again
let's execute the spline again we just
enter the ponies all right then enter
now we select the starting tangent point
which we wanted to be this point is
there and then now the ending tangent
point I want it to be the next box which
is okay this there you go
conceal it the first curve you will
follow this tangent point which
basically when you draw a line you will
exactly look like it's actually
continuous from there and the ending
tangent point will be pointing at this
rectangular box we draw a line again
you'll be like it is actually continuing
from this H coming and ending at this
edge so there's actually the option for
you to pick the tangent point of the
starting tangent point and ending
tangent point with the drawing I think
you will see the difference
all right then let's look at it
okay I think we have basically covered
the all the stock in some options for
this line so let's go into the different
another command which is plain drawing
Plains so plates are basically you can
draw irregular rectangular boxes or you
can actually draw rectangular or square
or triangular boxes which is super solid
let's try this
before we try this we change the color
to maybe they'll bring them back to
green let's draw the plane first we'll
start with a rectangular basic
rectangular you click the first point
second point and of course you can
continue with it if you have you you did
not enter another time you continue with
the rectangular box okay continue until
you enter another time do not click on
the screen or the workspace just enter
with your keyboard and you will see two
rectangular boxes which is alcove is
solid which is green basic now let's
draw the plane again or before that as
you can see just now you can actually do
the let's try this and you can actually
do the rotation right let's say I want
it to be 45 still zero look done you've
got a 45 degree
now let's go for square square you pick
the first point okay so you need to draw
a perfect square because this is a chi
and angle you can again anyway your auto
alright and then start continue drawing
your square and you complete it you're
satisfied with it and the key then you
have actually drawn five square when you
move it out is actually in individual
boxes of five square boxes next will be
triangular type of T and you pick the
second corner and continue drawing or
triangular until you're satisfied and
use as you can see we will try to move
this point triangular up it's actually
six individual triangular boxes that you
have drawn
music alright now the final one will be
read up executing any rectangular square
or triangular stop option you just pick
a point another point and you can see is
actually drawing the either a triangular
or rectangular if you want they say for
example this is a 933 triangular but you
want to have an irregular shape or if
you are satisfied you just enter if not
you can actually click the first point
the fourth point and then the fifth
point six point
let's to shop this
all right you can continue drawing your
points until you press the Enter key or
spacebar on your keyboard so this is a
regular triangular or I'm sorry a
regular rectangular so when you move it
up this actually contains two irregular
triangular boxes okay and these are off
you in solid depending on your layers
that you use or the color layers that
you use so to fish off the few what you
need to do is type on the keyboard feel
mode then turn it off of course you need
to regenerate your drawing now you have
turn off your fuel mode okay and to turn
it on again just fill mode on and then
regenerate okay you will be install it
