today we look into layers again I just
thought of sharing this with you because
there is actually a layer name that you
can define in your layer properties
which acts as non printed property is it
will be visible or you will be displayed
on your worksheet but it will not be
plotted out when you try to plot so what
do I mean by this let's look into how
this layer name comes in let's switch
off the grid and let's draw some lines
here copy a few lines now we create
layers layer 1 war put it as green and
then we name this layer that point de FP
oh I n TS
put it as magenta click apply click ok
now let's change some of the lines to
walls and also the dead points we have
created walls walls now the middle three
lines will change it to that point you
mean a little bit now it is displayed
with layer 0 layer wall which is defined
green layered if def point which is
defined as color magenta now let's try
to plot click your plot window or select
the print area now let's preview the
plot you can see the badge enter or the
default layer name is not visible in the
drawing it will not be printed out in
your final print or your final plot but
it will be always visible on your
display now let's look into this ye
happens that way that point when you
created it it will automatically switch
off or turn off the plot printer that's
why you are not able to print even
though you click and enable the plot
when you apply or click OK we go to plot
again print preview again the properties
the magenta is not there why is that
because when you look at it is it
automatically switch off again so does
this is to prevent you accidentally
switching on the little printer
this is very useful when you have
reference line on your drawings so let's
say for example you draw some
construction lines horizontal
construction lines this will be a
reference line or your kite line all you
have to do is just change this to that
point you change this back pointing back
to layer 0 so the X as the kite line it
is visible on your screen but then when
you try to load it select the print area
again to show you print preview your
card lines or your your construction
lines are actually not printed out so
you can imagine the usefulness of this
menu is good that you will not
accidentally a neighbor it
because it will always be switch off so
this is another tips that you can use
and there's only one name that you can
use which is that point there is no
other name use it at your own risk this
