in the last video we use layer property
manager to create new layers and change
the layer properties for example a color
box truck today we looked into another
dialog property which is only feature in
project in 2011 professional edition is
only specially made this is called
project cab Explorer we use it to do the
same like to create new layers delete
layers change the layer color as a trunk
let's look into this feature we go into
format instead of layer earlier we go to
explore layers this will bring up the
project Explorer dialog box from here as
you can see will go into the treetop or
to top options the first option will be
layers is basically the same as layer of
a team manager dialog box area

so how do we create the new layers using
this project Explorer but you can go to
the toolbar here create new item let's
limit as layer 5 and with the color of
blue and then the line type you can
select the right type for example we
select eat the line type click OK make
sure that the layer is on it is not
locked
it is not frozen from of you pop the
line width leave it as default you like
you can actually change the language to
which ever line thickness you wanted but
I will advise that you leave it to the
plotting 10 thickness so they do easier
to control and then the printout leave
it as color 5 again you can change leave
it the leave the color as 5 because
you'll be controlling the pen pen style
in the plot dialog 3 yes or no expand it
bigger current viewport is not frozen
new you viewport is not frozen as well
so we have created a layer 5 click close
now we wanted to change these elements
or these objects to layer 5 just click
the objects games if very simple click
on layer 5 skip it generate
see the layer 5 has been changed or
created the object has been linked to
layer 5 do ok now we go back to Explorer
if you want to delete the layer 5 which
is not your thing you can just highlight
layer 5 and still push you can
straightway delete there'll be another
dialog box I will give you few options
you can delete the layer 5 and all
entities on this layer you can delete
everything that means including objects
or you can change a choice of layers
which you can move all the entities
currently on the linear 5 and then
delete the old layer after moving
entities or you can cancel let's try the
first one again we go to create or link
this objects to layer 5 go back to Laura
layer 5 click delete as you can see the
layer file has been deleted as well as
the objects has been a little bit
together so this may not be what you
wanted so we go and do again let's go
for another option or layer 5 we give
the choice to change we move the layer 5
through layer 4 for example double-click
and see all layer 5 has been deleted but
he has been moved to layer 4 close this
regenerate
this is under layer for now is linked to
layer four instead of the no 5 let's
undo this you can lock on or on or off
the layers or circle layer or will be
ordered to you wish it to be by layer 4
under these objects by layer regenerate
follow the line type now we will change
that line type to another line type as
before
exactly elaborate this example ok look
now you get a exact lines on your
objects which is under layer form
see then you can on and off basically
the same we can refer to the value of

are the same options that you is
available now we go to line type if you
note this there are few line types
already included in this line type
because we have not pushed the database
so but in the layers we only use
continuous and it's exactly so what you
do you may want to get the layers
basically just delete it or the other
option is to approach those line type
that is not used under line type and
push do you want to push line type
border too because it's not using in the
database like yes yes
generally once you regenerate the
previous line types has been purged from
the database
sometime you would like to touch
database because you know one your vow
to Hope Lodge and want the database or
unwanted entities or properties that is
not used you will need to touch it off
from your database so that you keep your
file size smaller so another one will be
