in this part we are going to discuss
project suite and project items in more
detail so let's open the just complete
here so in last part we saw how to
create a project suite and project items
and there are some of the items we added
here and also us talking about the
tester app which can automatically add
which we can add the application under
test here and also I said if I if we
select this checkbox of odd run then it
will automatically open the application
during the test so let's see if we
record the test so we don't record the
test either in a record keyword test or
record scripts as I was talking about we
can record the test either in keyword we
you are in your script option so let's
select the keyword test for our
demonstration purpose so as you could
see oops oops I'm so sorry for that the
calculator is already open so what I'm
going to do is I'm just going to close
this guy right now just stop the test
and okay so I just created the
calculator for me so I'm just gonna just
delete all these stuffs right now so so
for that okay let's go and do that again
so I'm going to record the keyword test
once again so as you could see the
calculator application just open
automatically so what I'm going to do is
right now yes I'm just going to add two
numbers like eighty nine plus twenty
three which is equal to 112 it's great
so I'm just gonna stop the test right
now anyways about this recording panel
we can see there are a lot of other
options like adding the check points and
also adding the Commons and you know you
can see we can even switch or our
recording option from a keyword view to
the script view and then also we can
record the testing and low-level
procedures so we're going to discuss
more detail about recording band in
details in other sessions so
as of now this is not a scope of this
video so I'm just gonna stop the test
right now
so it's just recording the test for me
and oops so straight so here as you
could see it just recorded all the tests
for me
by clicking the button one button to
button three button for by the fire as
you could see just they have the test
complete had a given name for my buttons
automatically and it also shown
everything in the visualizer map test
visualizer here so you can you can see
whatever here and also the very cool
thing is in tests complete you can also
perform the operation within this object
visualizer its textures visor itself by
just you know inserting some of the
properties checkpoints and also you can
also show the object in the name mapping
editor so I was talking about the name
mapping as a similar as the obstreperous
tree in QEP so if you just you know hit
this show object in the name mapping
editor you can see that this button is
being recorded by means of an index of
14 and here is the button okay it's
great so similarly we can have lot of
buttons here and even more we can also
highlight the button what it has
recorded by just hitting the button but
I clicking it and click the higher on
the screen so it will just highlight the
button for us so as as much as possible
we can you know customize this buttons
and we can accuse them of the meaningful
names doing the name mapping recording
also so we'll deal with all these steps
and later by means this can be done by
means of editing this name mappings so
what we have read right now is this
keyword test will actually shows you all
the option in a GUI format so it has
first opened the calculator here and it
has performed some of the operations so
let's do the doing
do the same once again what I'm going to
do is I'm just going to hit this first
option here and I'm gonna hit the run
test so as you could see it just opens
the calculator and I'm going to perform
the same operation what we did before by
clicking the eight nine plus twenty
three there's cheese trooper so just
created the test and it's just recorded
that just for us and just replayed the
same so as you could see here the log
file automatically created for us and it
shows okay it's everything is just
passed and even the log file we have a
picture options so if you could just hit
this log and if you hit the picture tab
here it will just show you the compared
image by means of showing the expected
image and the actually may show it by
default which performs the image
comparison if there is any change in
your application it automatically shows
to you so these are some of the very
cool features in testcomplete and also
using this we can liberate the power of
recording and ease the just recording
varies very quickly and this helps the
developer to record the test and you
know get started so I would say welcome
