Fade In and Out Audio in iMovie 10.0.3 | Tutorial 37 Video Lecture | iMovie Mac: Basics to Advanced - Professional Skills

hello Asian gents row here and welcome
to noon or films today I'm ever bringing
you guys under iMovie tutorial it's
gonna be a quick one this one actually
it's gonna we're very very simple I'm
gonna be showing you guys um but it's
basically the fade in and fade out of
the audio I had somebody ask me this and
that that would just make it tutorial
and I did respond though explain how to
do it but just in case I have any other
questions future but um so here we are
we have my audio here it's actually all
the way that my main footage is all the
way down and looks like I'm movies
loading there we go my volume is
actually all the way down so you can
actually on your original clip you can't
really yeah you actually you can you can
like either you can adjust the pressure
I didn't think so it's like these little
you'll see these little dots of every
clip at the end of every clip and you
can adjust them it shows you the fade in
fade out time I mean this is I'm right
now I'm adjusting out since at the
beginning of the clip I'm adjusting the
fade in time so meaning like the volume
is gonna get louder as it gets closer to
right here now also you have the
fade-out is right here as well at the
end and you basically like you see it's
going to take five seconds right there
five seconds of fade out and it's just
going to go all the way till zero volume
which is a really cool feature and you
can do it to any any clip here but I'm
actually going to turn that all the way
down I'm going to do it to most time you
like to do it like to music or that's
what I'd like to do it to when I have
music in the background it fades in and
then it fades out if the music doesn't
already have that and in it but here we
are the way we're going to show you this
is going to go to my iTunes and I'm
going to go to sound effects and then
we're going to go to jingles and Oh 44th
Street okay this is 39 seconds long
we only want a little bit of it so I'm
gonna start this here drag it here now
maybe we should make it a little bit
longer and then now as you can see we
have our clip and that you have these
two dots one at the beginning and one at
the end now I'm going to drag beginning
one I'm going to drag it out five
seconds actually now here I'm gonna have
you guys listen to it first I mean it
from the beginning
so that's that's how it sounds without
the Faden or with it without the fate
and some now I'm going to do fade in
five seconds show you guys that and that
sounds a lot better fading in and then
also we're going to do a five-second
fade out instead of it just going like
this to complete zero we can go to fade
out we could go to another five seconds
fade out and play it and you guys can
see how that sounds a lot of much better
and you can basically do any clip that
with audio and that's basically it for
