Markers in iMovie 10.0.4 | Tutorial 45 Video Lecture | iMovie Mac: Basics to Advanced - Professional Skills

hello and gents row here and welcome to
noon or films today we're going to be
continuing our iMovie tutorials and in
this tutorial going to cover markers and
the basic markers that you can use to
mark a specific point in a clip and this
is actually making this twirl because
I've had a lot of questions regarding
chapter markers which are currently not
available with the new version of iMovie
I know they were available in from the
previous version but let me open up
iMovie there's no chapter markers at the
moment you can the best way you can do
with chapter markers by going to titles
and then creating one yourself
I feel owed if you just use one of these
here at the bottom like this here for
example drag it at the top and then
shooting right up here chapter chapter 2
for example blank this out and we can
change the color of this to let's say
you have a red and there you have there
you have like a small little chapter
marker you can make it even like two
seconds if you'd like in the rehab now
I'm actually going to mute that but
there you have two second chapter mark
or chapter two which those are that's
the best way to do a chapter marker at
the moment but if you want to do just a
simple marker to mark a specific point
and clip for example let's mark right
before this test test input text comes
up right before it which is going to be
right here at the black screen I'm going
to hit the on my command on my keyboard
I'm gonna hit the M and as you can see
now I have a little marker here on the
screen and this is really good - mark
specific points which you can use and
then you can click on it and drag it
around which I'll show you now you can
click on drag it around and also you can
click on and drag it off the screen and
it will disappear
also if you hit M you can have as many
of these as you want really but then
that's just going to become like really
really pointless so I'm going to delete
these and I'll actually hit command Z
and remove some of these here but but
yeah mainly only one just to mark a
specific point you can also just select
it and hit delete on your keyboard and
will remove it as well butter than that
that's the markers you guys know chapter
markers we should use the texts the
tiles
and you'll be able to just use that as a
chapter marker but on that you do have
em as your marker is so if you don't
have a keyboard or you're on a tablet
some for some reason you could also go
to mark and then go or add marker and
the mark will be added wherever you have
this line so for example let's have it
right there we have the line google mark
add marker it'll drop a marker right
there as well but the quick key for it
is just by hitting M on your keyboard
it'll drop that marker for you or now
