| 1. What is the CLAT exam and how is it conducted? |  |
Ans. The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level entrance exam conducted for admission into undergraduate and postgraduate law programs in participating universities. It is conducted on a rotational basis by 22 National Law Universities (NLUs) in India.
| 2. What are the eligibility criteria for appearing in the CLAT exam? | |
Ans. To appear in the CLAT exam, a candidate must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate score of 45% for general category candidates (40% for SC/ST category candidates). There is no upper age limit for the exam.

Ans. Yes, there is a negative marking scheme in the CLAT exam. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted from the total score. However, no marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.

Ans. During the application process, candidates can select their preferred exam centers from the available options. However, the final allocation of the exam center is done by the conducting authority based on the availability and other factors.
