going to show you how to record video on
Instagram and show you some quick tips
and tricks to get the most out of this
feature so let's get straight to it when
you first load up Instagram tap on the
camera icon as normal as if you're going
to take a photo when the camera loads up
instead of clicking the camera icon to
take a photo tap on the video camera
icon next to it when you're in video
recording mode press and hold your
finger on the video camera icon to start
recording the length of an Instagram
video is 15 seconds and you can break
this recording up into as many sections
as you like by pressing your finger to
record and lifting it off to stop
recording every time you record a new
section of footage a break will show in
the blue video bar as in this photo the
minimum length of an Instagram video is
three seconds by the way and unlike
photos you cannot import videos although
you can't fully edit Instagram video
recordings if you tap the back arrow as
in this photo you can delete the last
snippet of video that you recorded you
can only delete the previous one not any
before it so make sure that each shot
let you take is perfect before you start
recording again when you click this
button to highlight the video snippet
that you want to delete just press it
once more to confirm the deletion next
you can add a filter and there's over a
dozen video specific filters to choose
from and if you notice this icon in the
middle here it's Instagram videos cinema
mode and if you click on this it will do
its best to reduce any jerkiness or
shakiness that was present when you
recorded the video next up you can
choose a cover frame just like you
choose a thumbnail on YouTube videos
just drag your finger across the
the frames to choose the one that you
want and click Next to continue and last
up it's time to share your video add a
description and hashtags choose your
sharing options and click Share the app
will take a little while to process the
video and then it will go live thanks
