my overview of how to use Instagram for
business marketing if you haven't
checked out the first part of this
tutorial suggest you go and do that now
but for this video we are going to look
at how to attract and engage more
followers for your Instagram account and
once again i'm going to use starbucks as
an example because they do a really good
job on instagram so let's get started
the first tip is to really take care in
the quality of the photos that you post
in this photo starbucks is showing off
the fact that it's opened a lab we
launched bakery in one of its stores as
you can see they've used a split frame
to show off the name of the bakery and
some delicious food some really enticing
through that makes you want to go to
starbucks and eat it so don't just post
anything really think about the
composition and quality of your photos
tip number two is to hashtag all of your
photos in the caption when you upload it
as you can see this is starbucks is
caption for this photograph and they've
hashtags summer ice cream and
Frappuccino that means that anybody
tagging or searching for photos with
these keywords in it is more likely to
come across your photos next up is to
geotag your photos and it provides
another data point for organizing and
displaying your content and making it
available to other users as you can see
Starbucks has geotag this photo in
Central Park and if we click on it
you'll see a map and this is the same in
the instagram app as well as on
webstagram and all of the photos that
people have taken in that location so if
someone else has taken a photo here and
they take a look and they see your photo
of wherever your business or business
happenings maybe there's a chance
they'll click through and hit follow
and my last tip for this lesson is to
maintain a consistent posting schedule
as you can see starbucks posts a couple
of times a week 15 hours ago this photo
is posted five days ago for that 16 days
ago one week ago two weeks ago I'd say
don't post more than once or twice a day
but a couple of times a week should be
the minimum if you're going to stick to
an Instagram social media strategy and
posting consistently especially if
you're posting great content is a good
way to engage your customers and
followers because they know to expect
another photo from you and they can look
forward to it so they might follow just
for that reason that's all for this time
