talking about post formats post formats
allow you to style your posts
differently making certain elements in
the post more prominent depending on the
format you choose also depending on the
theme you are using you may or may not
have these options available it's
possible that your theme does not have
specific styles for each format in which
case you will not see much difference
between the different formats it's also
worth mentioning each theme also may
style post formats differently so the
same post format may look different
between themes current supported post

have a look at some examples here is a
standard post standard post is the
default post format in WordPress the
main elements for a standard post are
the featured image the title and the
content this is an example of the
gallery post format as you can see a
photo gallery is prominently displayed
and clicking on an image will bring up a
photo slideshow you can cycle through
this is an aside post format an aside is
typically styled without a title very
much similar to a note or a facebook
status update
