The natural environment comprises land, water, air, plants, and animals i.e. environment is our basic life support system.

Thus, natural environment refers to both biotic and abiotic conditions existing on the earth which are necessary for us.

The interaction between human beings and the environment is a continuous process.
Humans developed new methods and technologies to change the environment as per their needs.

The following are the examples of uses/changes made in the environment by human beings:

• Growing crops
• Domesticating Animals
• Leading a Settled Life

• The biosphere is the layer of the planet Earth where life exists.
• The biosphere is a narrow zone of the earth where land, water, air interact with each other to support life. It is in this zone that life exists.
• There are several species of organisms that vary in size from microbes and bacteria to large mammals.
  

Biotic Components are those that contain living things.

Water, soil, land are abiotic, whereas, plants are biotic.

The lithosphere is the solid crust or the hard top layer of the earth. It is made up of rocks and minerals and covered by a thin layer of soil.

Humans must learn how to use environmental resources in a judicious and harmonious way because they are using the resources in an irregulated manner which is leading to their fast exhaustion.

The lithosphere is the upper part of the earth. It contains rocks, minerals, and soils.

It interacts with the atmosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere and produces the pedosphere, the soil with its biotic and abiotic components.

World Environment Day is celebrated on 5 June every year. This day is celebrated to encourage awareness and environmental protection.

The abiotic component refers to everything which is not derived from living organisms.
Example: Water, soil, land 

Plastic bags and bottles come under the category of non-biodegradable products because they cannot be broken down by natural processes and tend to damage the safety of the environment.
