CDS / AFCAT Exam Pattern
- The CDS / AFCAT exam is conducted in two stages: a written examination and an interview.
- The written examination consists of objective type questions.
- For CDS, the written exam consists of three papers: English, General Knowledge, and Mathematics. Each paper is of 2 hours duration and carries 100 marks.
- For AFCAT, the written exam consists of four papers: English, General Knowledge, Mathematics, and Reasoning and Military Aptitude. Each paper is of 2 hours duration and carries 100 marks.
- There is negative marking for wrong answers in both exams.
- Candidates who qualify the written exam are called for the interview process, which includes intelligence and personality tests.
- The final selection is based on the combined performance of the written exam and the interview.
