- Translation from Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali to English
- Condensing of a prose passage (summary or précis)
- Correct use of words, correction of sentences, use of common phrases, synonyms, antonyms, idioms, etc.
2. General Science (25 marks):- Questions based on general scientific phenomena and recent scientific developments

3. Current Events of National & International Importance (25 marks):- Questions on important national and international events
- Questions on current affairs related to politics, economy, sports, science, etc.
4. History of India (25 marks):- Questions on ancient, medieval, and modern Indian history

5. Indian National Movement (25 marks):- Questions on the freedom struggle and the role of various leaders and organizations
- Questions on important events and movements during the Indian National Movement
6. Geography of India (25 marks):- Questions on physical, economic, and social geography of India

7. Indian Polity and Economy (25 marks):- Questions on the Constitution of India, political system, and governance

Main Examination:The main examination consists of six compulsory papers and one optional subject paper. Each paper carries 200 marks.
