AIRSEWA 2.0
The web portal and application will help to capture air travellers’ feedback for policy interventions.
Air passengers face issues like flight delays, problem in refunds, long queues, inadequate facilities at
airports and complaints of lost baggage.
T o address that need, the Ministry had introduced AirSewa web portal and mobile app in November
2016.
In addition to grievance redressal, AirSewa also provides real-time flight status and flight schedules.
AirSewa 2.0, the upgraded version of the web portal and mobile app, provides chatbot support for
faster resolution and personalised traveller experience.
Generally, chatbots are computer programmes that interact with people through audio or text
messages.

DIGITAL SKY PLATFORM
It’s a a first of its kind that implements 'no permission, no take-off’ (NPNT)
(A novel system of software-based self-enforcement to minimize deviations from the CAR)
(If an RPAS does not have permission to fly, it will not be allowed to take-off under the policy of
NoPermission-No-Takeoff (NPNT). )
Nano drones in India can start flying legally without requisite approvals.
For micro and above categories, operators and pilots are required to register on the
Digital Sky Portal.
Payments for Unmanned Aerial Operator’s Permit (UAOP) and Unique Identification Numbers
(UIN) will be accepted through the Bharat Kosh (bharatkosh.gov.in) portal.

Flying in the ‘green zones’ will require only intimation of the time and location of the flights via the portal
or the app.
Permissions will be required for flying in ‘yellow zones’ and flights will not be allowed in the ‘red zones’.
Permission, if granted, will be available digitally on the portal.
The import of drones is now permitted as well, and a point of contact in the DGFT is available on the
Digital Sky Website.
Drone Regulations are intended to enable visual line-of-sight daytime-only and a maximum of 400 ft
altitude operations.
Air space has been partitioned into Red Zone (flying not permitted),
Yellow Zone (controlled airspace), and
Green Zone (automatic permission).
