For schools not registered, individuals can create their own accounts. Your school administration retains the authority to monitor your activity and may disable your account if deemed necessary.

 

You are responsible for securing your account from unauthorized access, including hacking incidents. To protect your account, keep your password confidential. If you suspect unauthorized access, promptly change your password and report the issue to us at support@edurev.in.


Using Our Services

You are encouraged to explore and utilize all the features EduRev offers, but it is imperative that you use our services responsibly. Misusing or attempting to bypass established procedures is strictly prohibited.

 

EduRev reserves the right to review your account activity at any time and may deactivate your account without prior notice if misuse is detected.

 

While EduRev strives to offer valuable content, it operates as a student-centric platform. Much of the content is uploaded by students and approved by their faculty. Ownership of uploaded or shared content remains with the respective individuals. EduRev facilitates sharing and collaboration but does not claim rights to user-generated content.


Your Content in Our Services

    • Usage and Safety:
      • Files (text, video, PPT) can be downloaded without permission.
      • EduRev is not liable for errors, viruses, or malware encountered during downloads.

    • Uploading and Referrals:
      • Uploads require approval before being displayed.
      • Users can inform friends/classmates about uploaded material and discuss problems under specific categories.
      • References to users or problems will be visible on the respective profiles.

  2. Quizzes
    • Quizzes aim to enhance knowledge and are unrelated to school subjects or external quizzes.
    • They should not be considered definitive study material.

  3. EduRev Blog

    • Usage:

  4. Mailing

    • Sending spam or viruses is prohibited and subject to legal action.

Our Liability

The EduRev team is committed to ensuring the safety and security of the information you share through your account. However, we cannot guarantee that it will always remain secure. Future threats may arise, and we cannot be held liable for any harmful actions or security breaches that may occur in the future.

 

You agree not to hold any member of the EduRev team responsible for any direct or indirect actions related to the use of the platform.


Study Group Rules

  1. Purpose: Study groups are meant for educational discussions only. Please keep the conversations focused on learning and related topics.
  2. Asking Questions: You can ask a maximum of 10 questions per day. If you have more doubts, feel free to ask them the next day.
  3. Answering Questions: You are allowed to answer a maximum of 20 questions per day. If you want to add something to your answer, please edit it instead of posting a new one.
  4. Upvoting: If you find an answer helpful, feel free to upvote it to show appreciation.
  5. Maintaining Clean Discussions: If you come across questions or answers that are non-educational or offensive, report them immediately.
  6. Consequences for Violations: If your question or answer is reported more than 5 times, it will be deleted, and you will be blocked for 1 full day from the study group.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

  1. Refund Window: All courses purchased on EduRev can be refunded within 24 hours of placing the order.To request a refund, send an email to support@edurev.in with your email ID, phone number, and details of the course purchased.
  2. Refund Process
    • Credit/Debit Card Payments: Refunds will be credited back to the card within 14 working days, and the refund will reflect in the next statement.
    • Net Banking Payments: Refunds will be credited back to your bank account.
    • Other Payment Methods: A refund cheque will be issued in favor of the name provided in the "billing name" at the time of purchase.
  3. Limitations: Refunds cannot be claimed more than once and may be subject to extreme usage of the course content.

What is counted as Excess Usage?

Excess usage is defined as accessing more than 3 Tests, Notes, or Videos after subscribing to EduRev Infinity. If this limit is exceeded, the user may not be eligible for a refund. In such cases, at most 50% of the purchase amount will be refunded, and access to the content will be revoked.


Mobile Purchases via iOS:

Purchases made through the iOS mobile app cannot be refunded. On the iOS app, payments are processed by Apple, and as a result, EduRev does not have the ability to process refunds for these purchases. If you wish to request a refund, please contact Apple Support directly.


Abuse of Policy:

Students who repeatedly purchase and refund multiple courses over an extended period may face suspension for abusing the refund policy. EduRev reserves the right to take action in such cases to prevent misuse of the system.


Account & Data Deletion

You can request to delete your account information at any time. To initiate the account deletion process, you will need to either email us at support@edurev.in or complete the designated Google form. Once a deletion request is made, we ensure that your profile is no longer visible to other users and is disassociated from the content you posted under that account. After 30 days from the deletion request, we begin the process of removing your personal information from our systems. However, we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, even after your account is deleted.


IP Addresses

Your IP address may be used to resolve issues that arise with our servers or for statistical analysis. This helps us improve the user experience by identifying and addressing any potential issues or opportunities for improvement.


Payment Security

EduRev does not collect any payment information directly on our site. All payment transactions are processed through third-party payment gateways that comply with the highest levels of network and information security standards. This ensures that your account and payment details remain secure. However, EduRev is not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party payment gateways. In the case of any breach of applicable laws, unauthorized disclosure, or misuse of payment information by the third-party payment gateways, EduRev shall not be held liable.

 

Additionally, EduRev also offers cash on delivery (COD) as a payment method. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices of the companies that facilitate COD transactions. In the event of any legal violations, unauthorized disclosure, or misuse of payment information by the companies handling COD transactions, EduRev shall not be liable in any way.


Third-party Links/Websites

The edurev.in website may contain links to external websites that are not operated or controlled by EduRev. EduRev is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or the availability of these third-party websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies and terms of use of any third-party websites you visit through links provided on our site.


Course Creation

Once you initiate the process of creating a course on EduRev.in, the following conditions apply:

 

  • As the creator of the course, you are solely responsible for the content and hold independent authority over it. EduRev does not take responsibility for any content uploaded to the platform.
  • EduRev retains the final authority to review courses before they are published on the website/app. We can remove any content or course that is deemed inappropriate, and we reserve the right to make decisions regarding the content that remains on the platform.
  • EduRev provides complete assistance and technical support for creating an ideal course. However, the responsibility for uploading content appropriately lies with the course creator.
  • While EduRev's algorithms are designed to promote quality content, EduRev does not take responsibility for promoting or marketing any course on the platform. We will, however, share analytical data with course creators to help them improve their courses based on audience needs. EduRev is also open to collaborating on course promotions.
  • For paid content or courses, a Master Service Agreement must be signed by both parties. Paid courses will only be launched after final approval from EduRev, and all applicable conditions apply. For further details, feel free to contact us at support@edurev.in.

Use of YouTube Videos and API

EduRev follows all YouTube Terms and Conditions in accordance with the Terms of Service of Google/YouTube which can be checked at the following links: https://policies.google.com/privacy, https://www.youtube.com/static?template=terms


Use of Facebook

When you sign in or create account on our App and Website using your Facebook account, we will have access to certain information such as your name, profile picture, gender and email address (if there is one associated with your Facebook account), in accordance with the authorisation procedures determined by Facebook.
We use this data to create your EduRev account. You can request for your personal data to be deleted by contacting us at support@edurev.in.


How to unsubscribe your contact number from getting any SMS from EduRev?

If you wish to remove your contact number from getting any updates from EduRev, you can simply send us an email to support@edurev.in with your contact number and typing unsubscribe along with it. For Example: <UNSUBSCRIBE 99999xxxxx>


Android app permissions & relevant data usage:

We require the following permissions from the users for smooth functioning of our App. The data shared by the users is stored on EduRev servers and shared only with our website https://edurev.in

  • Files & Media: This is used for reading and storing your downloaded content on the app.
  • Location: This is used for personalising the app according to your location.
  • Photos & Media: This is used for setting up your profile and answering the questions with images in the discussion groups.
