Jacobins were one of the influential political parties during the dawn of French Revolution.
It was a radical and ruthless form of party who can do anything to protect the Republic of France.
It had Maximilian Robespierre at it's centre. He was a person who respected equality and freedom and he could go to any extent to achieve that. He made, whoever opposed a threat to the Republic, an enemy. That included ex-nobles, clergy etc. Those who were suspicious received a trial in the revolutionary tribunal and if found guilty, they were guillotined. Even fellow party members who went against its decisions were not spared. Eventually, for his brutal and ruthless approach toward equality and freedom he was trialed in the Revolutionary Tribunal and found guilty. He was guillotined.



Those were negative sides of Robespierre.
He had some positive sides too like

He fixed a ceiling for the price of goods which would be sold in markets and wages. Rations were fixed for meat and bread. Peasants were forced to carry grains to markets to sell them. Using expensive bread were forbidden and the government encourage people to use equality bread(pain degalite) All people were given the status of citizens instead of sir or madam.Churches were confiscated and were transformed into barracks and offices.
