1. Less time consuming.
2. Less manual efforts required.
3. Helps in conserving water.
Traditional methods:
1. More time consuming.
2. A lot of manual and animal efforts required.
3. Does not conserve much water.

Irrigation means Time to Time watering of crops at regular intervals. Traditional methods of Irrigation are the methods which are used since long time like Moat, Dhekli, Rahat etc. These methods are time consuming, not so efficient, labour consuming etc. Whereas modern irrigation methods are the methods which are used from recently like sprinkler system, drip irrigation method etc. These methods save our time, labour, they are efficient.
