A short bar magnet of magnetic moment5.25×10−2JT−1is...
According to the question, the resultant field is inclined at 45o with earth's magnetic field.
tanθ=BH/B
θ=45o
tanθ=1=BH/B
BH=B= μoM/4πr3
Given, B= 0.42×10−4T
M=5.25×10−2J/T
Therefore,0.42+10−4=10−7×[(5.25×10−2)/r3]
r3=12.5×10−5=125×10−6
r=5×10−2m = 5 cm

A short bar magnet of magnetic moment5.25×10−2JT−1is...
1) B2= μM/4πR1^3=Be (for Be as they be at 45 angle)
4π10^-3 ×5.25×10^-2/4π×R1^3=0.42×10^-4

R1^3 =12.5 × 10^-5
R1 =5cm

2)at an axial plane
B2 = μ×2M/4πR2³
R2=5cm × 2^⅓
R2= 6.2cm (so this question can have two answer)
