Since all elements given here are of 2 group so they form 2+ oxidation state. in aq. solution they are in form of their ions i.e., Ba2+, Ca2+, Sr2+ with water(H2O).
oxalate is an ion with formula C2O4^-2.
when oxalate ion reacts with (i)ba2+ aq.ion it gives white powder of barium oxalate as ppt. in aq.
(ii)sr2+ aq. ion it gives white powder of strontium oxalate as ppt. in aq.
(iii)ca2+ aq. ion it gives white or colourless powder of calcium oxalate as ppt. in aq. The reactions are as follows:-
(i) Ba2+(aq.) + C2O4^-2(aq.)+ H2O(l) gives- BaC2O4.H2O
(ii) Sr2+(aq.) +C2O4^-2(aq.)+H2O(l) gives- SrC2O4.H2O
(iii) Ca2+(aq.)+C2O4^-2(aq.)+H2O(l)gives- CaC2O4.H2O
