As we have to find the area of shaded region, we'll always subtract the graph which gives lower values from which that gives grater output in the given region. As from 0,0 to 1,1 x=y^2 gives greater values than y=x^2 i.e. why we subtracted x^2 from root x, then by definate integration we can easily find the required area, hence, correct option is d.
