To expressing feelings of growing crime against women in capital city.
Today all the students got a peaceful protest march at India Gate of Delhi, in which we protested peacefully in a manner. It has been seen from the past several days that cases of crime against women are increasing across the country. Rape incidents are increasing day by day. Due to the inaction of the government machinery, the criminals have become very enthusiastic. Women are feeling insecure themselves. At night they are afraid of going outside alone. In the last days, a girl's ruthless rape was reported in Delhi, due to which there was anger in the whole country. The people of the whole country were distressed by that horrific rape scandal. Protest against the same rape conviction all over India. Today, we also protested against that heinous crime by protesting at India Gate.
We hope that the government will soon take necessary steps while taking cognizance of crime against women. Actually, by taking action from the government and by making strict laws, everything will not be alright, but we also need to change our mindset. The mentality of some people in our society has become such that women only consider the subject matter of enjoyment. Such people need to change the mindset. We have to identify the wolf who hide in our society who commit such crimes against women. The social exclusion of such people will be curbing incidents of rape etc. against women.

Assaults against women, especially the young ones, have become the norm of the day. First, Jessica Lai and then scores of others have become the target of the brutality of twisted minds. Cases of rapes, dowry deaths, eve-teasing, abductions, burning of bodies keep increasing by the day. There is hardly any field where women are not abused or exploited. Girls are viewed as liabilities and boys as assets and insurance for the parents’ old age. The youth has to bring in the change. The steps taken by the masses, especially the university students are a wake-up call in the right direction. Where authorities fail, public protests of this kind will go a long way in doing justice to all the victims and pressurise the judicial system to book the culprits.
