Questions : The solution A and B are 0.1 and 0.2 molar in a substance....
Solution:

Given,

Molarity of solution A = 0.1 M

Molarity of solution B = 0.2 M

Volume of solution A = 100 ml

Volume of solution B = 25 ml

Total volume of the mixture = Volume of solution A + Volume of solution B

= 100 ml + 25 ml

= 125 ml

Let the final molarity of the solution be x.

According to the law of conservation of mass, the total number of moles of solute before and after mixing should be the same.

Number of moles of solute in solution A = Molarity of solution A × Volume of solution A

= 0.1 M × 100 ml

= 10 mmol

Number of moles of solute in solution B = Molarity of solution B × Volume of solution B

= 0.2 M × 25 ml

= 5 mmol

Total number of moles of solute in the mixture = 10 mmol + 5 mmol

= 15 mmol

Now, using the formula,

Molarity = Number of moles of solute/Volume of solution (in liters)

We can find the final molarity of the solution as follows:

x = 15 mmol/0.125 L

x = 0.12 M

Therefore, the final molarity of the solution is 0.12 M.

Hence, the correct option is (3) 0.12 M.

Questions : The solution A and B are 0.1 and 0.2 molar in a substance....
Here we have to use the formula ,
M1V1=M2V2
0.1×100 + 0.2×25 =X × 125
10+5=X× 125
15 = X×125
X=15/125
X=0.12 molar
