Explain the kind of language and humour used in Three Men in a boat by...
Jerome K. Jerome's novel 'Three Men in a Boat' is full of sterling humour. This humour comes from his knack of perceiving humour in situations and comments on the commonplace things and happenings.

Be it the description of his imagined ailment, or the packing scene, or Uncle Podger's hanging of the picture, or the cheese scene, genuine humour is ubiquitous throughout the novel. Besides the ordinary humour, there are certain extreme humour scenes. Scenes such as Harris getting lost in the maze while offering help to the already lost visitors. The scene in which the German singer sings a tragic song and the audience mistaking it for funny song is quite humorous.
